I got the go ahead from my wife last week to order my new Nikon D750 and make the step up to full frame. It is on the truck and our fot delivery. I cant wait till it gets here. I prepared for this day by upgrading my lenses to FX lens two years ago in anticipation of "someday" going full frame. Today is the big day. Now I just need her to let me plan a trip to some of the parks.....Hmmmm how can I make that happen???

Just got mine this week. Its life changing! Seriously.

What glass did you get?

When I bought the D7100 two years ago I got a Tamron 28-75 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 which will be great on the D750. So I went and bought a Nikon 85mm 1.8 prime. I also have a 50mm 1.9 prime as well...

Now I am going to need to get a good wide angle zoom like the 12-24 2.8....I have a Tokina 11-16 2.8 I also got with the D7100 but that wont work on the D750...

I got the tokina 16-28 as my wide angle for the D750. I'll let you know how it goes this weekend (I know the 14-24 is supposed to be the best, but the cost is just a bit out of my reach after getting the new body)

I would greatly appreciate that. I was looking at that lens also.

I was VERY lucky to catch it on sale at Adorama (B&H had the same price as well) last week for around $550, and just had to get it. The tests I've done around my house so far have been great, but the real trial will be upcoming. I'm excited!

I've been trying to sell my 7d and lenses so i can upgrade to the d750 for a few weeks now.

Probably gonna end up with the 18-35 3.5-4.5. I hate variable aperture lenses but dxo mark seems to think the lens is fine, plus the 14-24 isn't practical for ND filters so I'd hate to buy another wide angle just to be able to use ND filters.

so the 18-35 is out of stock almost everywhere but B&H says it'll be 2-3 business days

guess i'll have an expensive paper weight for a few days

I had the same issue when I bought my 85mm f1.8. I finally found it used on Craiglist and got a like new lens for $110 less than the cheapest I could find it online.

Just snagged the 85mm 1.8. Took some test shots at 1600 iso and it's better than my 7D at iso 100. It's really incredible.

B&H screwed me by saying the 18-35 was 2-3 business days and now they are saying early april.

If you are looking for an UWA (fisheye),the new Rokinon 12mm 2.8 is FANTASTIC on full frame. Super sharp too.

I have never tried using a Fisheye lens. I would not feel comfortable spending the money on one just yet. I may rent one and see how I like it first. I am thinking something in the 12-24mm range first.

I love that lens. I have been using it in my portrait work lately. Wonderfully sharp but not quite an indoor lens unless you have about 20 feet to back up to get full body shots. I hope I can take a trip to WDW this year to try all this new gear out.
