I have been to Walt Disney World 3 times in my life so far. First was in 1993 when I was 20, for 3 days after a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas with 3 friends. What a glorious time we had. It was my first time experience with the magic of Disney.

In 2002 my now ex-husband had the luck of attending a convention at the Coronado Springs Resort for a week. So I found a good deal on airfare and flew down to join him for 4 days. It was such fun being more of an adult at Disney.

Then in 2004 there was another convention at The Coronado Springs Resort. This time I brought my 2 niece's age 8 and 10 along for a visit in the house of Mouse. We were lucky this trip because the convention rented out Tomorrow Land for an after hours party....lots of time spent on SM & Buzz.

I've made plans several times in the past 10 years to go back, even going as far as booking a package and placing my deposit. But something always came up to change the plans. Last November I decided come hell or high water I'm going to Disney in 2014.

I'm so excited to say that now I'm almost all paid up for a 9 day 8 night stay at Allstar Sports Resort, with park hopper + water passes w/DDP for myself and my 14 year-old nephew. Getting ready in a couple of weeks to make ADRs. So EXCITED.

That's wonderful! A lot has changed since you were last there. Double check menu prices to make sure you will eat more than the $59 bucks a night the DDP costs each of you.

Read up on magic bands, FP+ and MDE.

I feel your excitement and I know you'll have a wonderful time! I took my nephew down when he was a toddler and he hasn't been back since so I am taking him, his wife, and his baby in the Fall for the Baby's first birthday! Can't wait to experience it with 2 newbies (the baby and his wife)!

I'm still on the fence for the DDP, I am hoping there is going to be a free dining offer for the time we are there. Also my nephew is a big boy and eats a whole lot...so I thought maybe the DDP would be a good way not to go broke feeding him. :)
