Drive to airport was uneventful. For with ticketing and TSA in less than 15 min.

Middle seat lady sat down and immediately asked if I was sick.

Well good morning to you stranger. 😐

I assured her that no I was not and that I was wearing a mask because of my immune suppression.

She still seemed pretty suspicious. Because “You know one time she sat next to someone with a mask and she got sick...”

Luckily her and aisle lady started talking about grandkids and I snuck my earbuds in.

Takeoff was delayed 25 minutes. Something to do with air traffic issues... in Ohio?!? 🤔

(Sorry any OH readers. I couldn’t help it.)

Despite the delay we arrived on time. My connection was at the same terminal. By the time I used the restroom and walked to the next gate they were already boarding.

I’m in comfort class for this one. Got to turn left upon boarding, a first for me, and am in the row behind 1st class.

Everyone else is in business attire and there’s a T-Rex on my shirt. I’m going to pretend that I belong here though.

On to MCO!

Made it to MCO ahead of schedule.

My checked bag made it to MCO! (First time with a connection so I was skeptical)

Mears shuttle area was clearly signed. Easy to check in. Now awaiting shuttle arrival.

I keep mistyping shuttle. But with an I instead of the U. Let’s hope that’s not foreshadowing. 😂

Small world moment: also awaiting a shuttle is someone who I am pretty sure I know. I’m 99% sure he worked at the last place I worked at.

We would see each other in the halls and only communicated via phone so not enough to strike up a conversation. But he definitely gave me the “where do I know her from” glance a couple of times

It felt a little odd not going to the Magical Express area. Soon enough.

Part One Day 1:

Shuttle was good. Got to chat with a nice family from NH.

Room wasn’t ready when I got there but I was able to check in.

I love a good mosaic. Or any mosaic really.

Grabbed some lunch in the food court. This was a California chipotle chicken flatbread. Super good.

Food court service: seemed a bit unorganized. As I was finishing my lunch I got the room ready text.

Room is excellent. Great view. A looooong way to the lobby though.

(One of the last times I was in this hallway I may have been riding a luggage cart post a visit to the Swizzle lounge...)

Family suite room glamour shots:

Got in a quick shower before MIL and SIL arrived.

Love your pictures of Cabana Bay. I was thinking of doing a split stay between there and Royal Pacific when we finally tear ourselves away from Disney and make our way to Universal :)
I would recommend it. It’s a value in Universal category but seems more like a moderate per Disney standards. If there’s anything in particular you want to see a picture of etc. just let me know. :)

I’m loving the VO5 shampoo as well.

It seems the live-ish thing for part 1 of the trip is a bit difficult.

In comparison to MIL and SIL my phone use has been minimal but if I am on my phone for more than a moment she asks me if anything it wrong/ is everything ok. 😐

I’ll do what I can for now and will probably catch up on Friday.

Part One Day 1:

MIL and SIL got situated in the room and we chatted for a bit.

MIL then wanted SIL and I to decide what to do next.

MIL has a heavily highlighted guidebook. And three different touring plans printed off. (several copies of each of them)

This is her bucket list trip. We both defer to her. No. She insists we pick. SIL picks to head to the parks rather than stay at the resort.

SIL and MIL both take a Bonine and we head to the bus. Even before we get to the bus MIL comments that she doesn’t handle heat well. And that she’s worried that the bus ride will make her motion sick.
