Just an FYI, "it's a small world" is now closed 2 May 2 2004 through a very vague Spring 2005. To compensate for this, Snow White will reopen 7 May 2004. Also, Star Tours is closed for refurbishment 16 July-1 August 2004.

I believe it was originally scheduled for 18 months before the first official dates were announced.
Seriously. The extra month and a half (at least) must be devoted toward going through the ride with a shotgun to take care of all the demon dolls that have invaded the ride from the Twilight Zone...their red eyes are scary!

it's a small world can't be closed for my visit May 7-14!! I was planning to videotape the whole thing in multiple passes for a definitive pre-rehab video. Dang it! One of my all-time favorite attractions too. Oh well...

Well, we must all agree that this rehab's sorely needed. As always, I enjoyed It's a Small World during my last trip in February, but the state of the ride was awful. Malfunctioning animatronics galore.
So, here's what I'm wondering -- how's the view from Pinocchio's adjacent restaurant? I was looking forward to waving at Small World riders from the window, when (if) I visit WDW the next couple of weeks. Now, does one have a view of the refurbishment? Or is the view from the windows blocked as well?
The Star Tours closing is interesting. The rumored update of the ride video would benefit the attraction greatly and would be relatively inexpensive. I doubt this is why it's closing, but it would be nice.

Of course the windows will be blocked
