It's A Small Lawsuit, I Guess

I got stuck once in the 90's for an hour-I heard that song in my head for DAYS!! Last year my husband, who had never ridden it, wanted to go on it. I went with him and was having flashbacks of getting stuck the whole time! After we rode it he asked why anyone would ride it twice! I now am thankful that it is off our to-do list forever!

Somewhat? We were stuck on IASW for 45min and I will say it was more than somewhat torturous. After about 20min it gets maddening. I think I have ridden it 3 or 4 times since (over 13yrs or so) I'm scarred for life I tell ya! :D

I completely agree it can be maddening... yet I ride it everytime.

Perhaps I should sue Disney for pain and suffering of being exposed to Brazilian Tour Groups....

So he suffers from "panic attacks" and decided to visit a heavily populated theme park.......

This lawyer(and most of the ones like this one) should be curb-stomped, a la American History X.

Hey now, this is DISNEY. No room for that kind of violence.

well worst case I suppose Disney adds that "warning" that life happens and things can break and inform guests when purchasing a ticket that the purchase constitutes a contract with the park and list all articles on the side of the ticket booth or in a pamphlet upon request.

I will add in a slighly off the rails comment that sometimes societies and their empathy hurt the truth. ive seen and read in a few cases upon interviews that jurors sometimes vote for pity over truth, where, in thankfully a very low percentage people with handicaps prey upon this for handout. the defendant can be I covert but lose the case because a juror felt so bad and that they "have already suffered enough in life" there was a penn and teller show (can't say the name here!) that was based upon similar issues. an example they used was an attorney who literally sued every business in town accusing them of illegally not providing handicap accessibility. thing is almost every store did provide such access, including some who merely had ramps on another side of their building. the worst part however is being a lawyer he already knew the costs of normal attorney fees and so was suing for an amount that would be just cheaper than defending themselves.
this is just what humanity has come to, and there's lowlifes in all walks ( honestly no pun intended) of life. I can't help but think of Russia and how almost to a man, their cars have installed cameras on their car because cars will cut them off and brake to cause a crash in these insurance fraud cases. people also wait on the side of the road to dive in front of cars for the same exact reason.

When I first read the headline, I thought he had somehow gotten stuck for hours and descended into madness :p . Getting stuck on the ride for half an hour and having to pee though? Give me a break. Heck, I'll do that for $4,000 and we don't even need to get the lawyers involved!

I don't know the details of that case and couldn't begin to give an opinion.

I do think Disney should turn the audio off after a few minutes when rides are stuck. IASW isn't so bad, but some things really get to you after a while.

I got stuck on space mountain for an hour and a half. The lap bar wouldn't go back up. They had to take the ride down and wheel me into the maintenance part. It took them an hour of so with a crow bar and hammer to get me out. If I did not sue this guy shouldn't have either.

I did like the mickey head made of pennies that the maintenance part of space mountain had.

Can I sue for that awful feeling in my face on Mission: SPACE? How about when the boats back up on Pirates of the Caribbean and I have to listen to robo Depp singing over and over? Can't forget Stitch. I should be awarded millions for going through that.
