If this thing could walk and throw a round house kick I think it is pretty safe to say that Lee and pretty much ever other guy on the planet would be all over it. As of right now it is merely a pretty cool statue.

Calling it a statue is giving me the odd mental image of it hanging out with the Statue of Liberty, or something.:lookaroun

Thank you, sir.
The moment this thing breaks out in some tai-chi or something...it will be exciting. Now it's merely interesting.

"Pretty Cool" is a massive understatment. Oh well, I guess it's because none of you have watched a second of the hundreds of Gundam series nor built a Gundam model ever...

Don't jump so quick to judge young grasshopper. While I have not been into them for quite some time and I have never watched a Gundam cartoon, (I just cant get into anime) I was playing with them 30 years ago when they were called Shogun Warriors.

Oh Yeah!
Shogun Warriors! I so had one of those. Shot missiles out of it's arms.
I had that same Godzilla, too, with a little floppy fire-tongue.

Now that I think about it, I do remember watching some Japanese TV as a kid after school.
Ultraman, Inframan and one about a flying giant dude with a little sidekick and some Japanese kids.
See Servo...I got credentials!:D

EDIT: The flying giant dude was from Space Giants.

Nope, Gundam was around then too. The first Gundam series started in 1979. It's not like this is some new thing the crazy kids are into...only crazy sci-fi enthusiasts, Gunpla builders, and Otaku.
:sohappy:

I never played with them either...I was always a Bionicle Fan, though.:D

We gotta' work on this Evan...:dazzle:

(You can actually watch all 25 episodes of the first season of the last Gundam series "Gundam 00". As usual it's completely different the other series, but has all the trademarked amazing mech design, flawed characters, deep thinking, science fiction, and world politics. Basically a usual Gundam series, but with deep roots in the energy crisis and religious sectarian violence we face today. The plot is unique though because it represents far many more combating groups on the world stage-and "Celestial Being", the group that the show focuses on-In THIS series, is the only side with Gundams, for which they hope to perform armed interventions against world warfare. So it focuses on a really core message of the consquences of what happens when violence is the only way to fight against-Violence. It also has a great opening, and the last two episodes are amazing...none of which you'll see because nobody is listening to me right now. :lookaroun  http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=27238FEDDE831016 )

Aaaaaaand, seeing that I now have a strong aversion to large robots, (THANKS, Transformers...:brick::fork::zipit:), PLEASE tell me, Travis, that the storyline for Gundam is different, because I was considering looking at it next time I was in the bookstore.:lookaroun
