It's 2015: What Now?

After visiting Universal this weekend I developed some ideas. After the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion, the Simpsons mini land, Cabana Bay hotel, and the Transformers ride what would you do to make Universal Orlando resort better?

My ideas:

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA:

- Ted's Comedy Club: Possibly a comedy show like the Laugh Floor based off of Ted using an animatronic and real actor interacting with each other. Maybe Ted gets sued and he needs to make money in this comedy club or something. There could be some funny lines without needing to use adult humor and you would know if you watched Family Guy or Ted cause not EVERYTHING is adult humor. (Universal made the film Ted and it's becoming a series with a sequel in 2014)

- Spongebob Kidzone: I don't know who posted the idea but the Kidzone should be re-imagined into Bikini Bottom. Add a speedway-like Mrs. Puff's boating school, a dark ride replacing E.T. (sadly), Krusty Krab restaurant, meet and greets in his house, Jelly Fish Fields playground, and a water coaster using this technology

- Horrorville: Land in current Fear Factor Live space where all the horror movies come to life. The horror make up show is moved here, so is the Monsters Café, and a new omnimover is added which will have all monsters come to life in one ride.

- Fast and The Furious Stunt Show: Replacing Twister and it would be similar by having the car effects with fire, wind, gun shots, water, explosions, etc.

- The Universal Pictures Preview Center: Replacing The Lucy tribute and Betty Boop store would be looking at the releases of that year and how the films were made and props and similar to The Art of Disney Animation

Puts guests into the Hollywood area with Universal Pictures Preview Center and the Ted Show. Adds a marketable, successful, and seemingly timeless (10+ years on air) franchise with Spongebob. Finishes making the park contemporary by removing Twister to become a Fast and Furious Show. Makes home to classic horror characters also making a great place to visit during Halloween Horror nights.

One other rumor is that they want to bring in a shortened version of Wicked: The Musical to tie in with the recently green lit film version. Popular belief is that it would go where Fear Factor Live is. But I would redo Twister into a full blown Broadway style theater and put it there with a replica of the Broadway marquee.

ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE:
- Jurassic Park Expansion: Jeep Safari Ride in the expansion plot behind Thunderfalls like the Jungle Cruise. HelicopTOUR ride like Soarin' where you fly above the park seeing different Dinosaurs.

- The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle: Ride in Toon Lagoon like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride where you spin and go on separate tracks themed to the classic characters Rocky and Bullwinkle. This would replace the Toon Lagoon theater which is to the left of when you enter from Marvel Superhero Island. The area in Toon Lagoon with the carnival games would be themed to Rocky and Bullwinkle as well.

- The Untitled Grinch Ride: Mount Crumpit family coaster through the Grinch's lair. Would use the backstage area of the Grinchmas show.

- Poseidon's Fury: Same name and facade, different story. This would be a EMV like Indiana Jones and the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland but themed to a boat. Pre-show you upset Poseidon, get on your boat and ride his wrath. Not much to say but there will be Krakkens and whirlpools and Atlantis and sirens songs and stuff. It would be an e-ticket to put guests in Lost Continent.

This would spread about the park to Lost Continent, Toon Lagoon, and Jurassic Park rather than everybody bottled up in Harry Potter. Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park both need non-water rides because during winter that back part of the park has nothing to do because everything is a water ride (Popeye's, Ripsaw Falls, River Adventure). It adds which IoA needs more families to come and a spread out park.

Toon Lagoon desperately needs a new ride. Not a water-ride. Don't get me wrong, Islands of Adventure's water-rides are in a league of their own, but they don't need another. Like the idea of a dark-ride and a better transition from Marvel to Toon.

The Lost Continent. Hmmm. I love the theming and I love Mythos and I would like to see it stay. If Universal refuses to turn this island around, The Lost Continent leaving might be the best option.

WANT! Please Universal team make those happen *crosses fingers* :D

The TED theater won't happen, Ted IS adult humor, putting non-adult humor would ruin it.

And Shrek Needs to leave and be replaced with a non-3D ride, so Production central doesn't keep the nickname glasses ally( Yes people are calling it that)

LOTR isn't happening, Tolkien's descendants don't want it.
J R R Tolkien loathed Walt Disney's sensibilities and Walt Disney Productions. He felt Walt Disney currupted everything he touched. It is even in his will that none of his IP's were EVER to be touched by Walt Disney Productions.

Just sayin'

I've heard Tolkien was a pretty strange guy, fascinating and brilliant, yet strange. With that said, I highly doubt that we will see LOTR in any theme park ever.

Well that is lucky then while the films were signed off - they signed of on merchandise and theme parks rights in a bundle package - which Tolkein kids didn't want ...
