Italy pavilion store gone

Went to buy a mask the other day and to my absolute surprise the mask shop (and the general souvenier shop it was attatched to) is gone. The entire room is cleared out and everything has been stripped.

The wine shop it was attatched to is still open.

To my surprise, when I asked the other CM's there if they knew when it would be reopening, they diddn't know what I was talking about and said it was open and was right there... so they came with me and to their surprise when we opened the door, obviously, it was gone. :/

What a weird time for a rehab, right before the food and wine festival, you would think they would make a lot of money in the world showcase shops during the event.

That shop is literally all the Italy pavillion has, why close it?

I don't think it has been rehabbed in a long time.
Its just bad timing in my opinion... a lot of people buy the masks right before halloween and I am sure they got a lot of business with the food and wine festival.

The other shop across the way with the armani collectibles, etc. is still open.

the canada store is also gone/shut down for rehab...all merchandise has been moved to the lower store for the time being
That I think is a permanent change. It has been like that for a long time now.

That is truly wierd as it was there when I visited 13 Sep. I had lunch at Alfredo's and stopped in after. I even talked to the cast member about the fact I have a mask I bought in Venice! :hammer:

I hope after the rehab they bring back all the Italian candies and sweets. My father grew up in Italy so it was always fun to bring him home stuff that he used to be able to get from his home. They had all the Italian hard candies that I remember my grandmother giving me when I was little.

Hands down, that shop's one of the best in all of WS (although I wouldn't mind its permanent disappearance to allow for the creation of a Venetian canal ride with Audio-Animatronic gondoliers!)

Maybe there doing a quick rehabbe for Halloween. IT might be open in a week or so, you never know!

My mother was born in Italy and she loves the candy. I wish they would so I could bring her back some next time I went!!
