Yes, because that's the most fun part. It is for everyone...

But it's still a part of the park and it's not something that we can leave out. I'm not forcing you to do shops and such, especially not if someone else wants to do it, but I'm saying, sometimes you also need to do stuff that might not be as fun...

Although designing a Disney shop or restaurant could be as interesting as designing a ride if you put in the right effort, give the thing a story and it's own experience...

Hmm, maybe this whole project would become more manageable if we assigned different positions to everyone... like Wannabe Walt could be Lead Restaurant Designer or something... (which means you would be the main caretaker of all dining creation process, while of course still being able to design rides etc.)

I think I could do a little of everything (rides/attractions, shops, restaurants), though not sure what to concentrate on. Fantasyland would be the land I would want to work the most on, though the Adventureland we have here so far is outstanding, and I enjoyed throwing in my 2 cents there! :animwink:

Lol, roles wouldn't be that specific. You can't be manager of a land...

But you could perhaps be lead manager of shows, lead manager of shops, lead manager of restaurants, and for rides we could divide it into category such as:
- Lead Manager of Dark Rides
- Lead Manager of Rollercoaster
- Lead Manager of General Rides (which are all the others)

Now again this would ONLY mean that you would have the overview of all the development of these categories, such as if I was the Lead Manager of Dark Rides, perhaps Stitchcastle wanted to do a ride in this category and I would try to have control of all his work etc., talk to him about the ride and help planning it, as well as having control of all the other dark rides being created...

And then I would also be able myself to design dark rides or anything else I would want...

Hmm, how did this suddenly stop? Oh well, back on track...

I'll be going to London on a press event Monday - Thursday, so lets get going again and now with Fantasyland! Oh yes, the lovely fantasy land... bring on ALL of your ideas for sub-areas, attractions, shows, dining, shops and everything else you could imagine. Think well and think long and imagine the best Fantasyland possibly!

I will contribute my ideas later today...

Adventureland should be COMPLETLY finished before we start Fantasyland!

Maybe so, but we could at least come up with a few of the basic ideas and plans for Fantasyland, while we finish up for Adventureland. As for Adventureland, I think it needs more shops and restaurants/eateries. Other than that, I think Adventureland is PERFECT! This is THE best Adventureland I have ever seen, in all of the real Disney theme parks and in proposals here on the Imagineer forum!!!!! :) :D :sohappy: :sohappy: :animwink:

While I do agree, it seems that Fantasyland might fuel the imagination of the project a bit more... but also, if we start on Fantasyland now, it should be completely finished before we move on...

So here are my current ideas. Some of them are content-wise in the whole clones, so I won't be writing about everything, but concentrate on the more unique ride. But of course I want rides like Dumbo and It's A Small World changed a bit in content, but mostly visually. During my trip to London I will do some concept art if I have the time to do it. But enough talk, here are my ideas:

Introduction:

The biggest land of the Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland boasts a colorful, imaginative and simply fantastic array of rides, shows and dining options. The four destinctive and very different sublands all connect to the most remarkable object of the park: the Cindarella Castle. The Castle Courtyard lies within the thick castle walls. Herefrom you can either enter the surrounding village, inspired by european fairytales, or you can venture deep within the royal maze and enter the Fantasy Gardens. In the very end of Fantasyland lies the Fantasy Festival, where everyone come together in joy and celebration.

Sublands:

- Castle Courtyard:
This area is the King's and Queen's porch. Featuring beautiful flower formations tied in with unique stone masonry, a small pond and well, this area is the perfect place to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of Fantasyland.

- Fantasy Gardens:
This huge green area features several different types of forests and gardens. From the royal maze to the mysterious gardens of Wonderland to the 100 acre wood, Fantasy Gardens brings together the best of the enchanting Disney forests.

- Fairytale Village:
Based on the medieval european villages and mixed with the imagination of Disney, this urban enviroment features a simply unique atmosphere of being placed directly in a european fairytale.

- Fantasy Festival:
The most distinct area of them all, the Fantasy Festival is full of life and joy. The unique style inspired by It's a Small World gives the enviroment a very abstract, but happy and light feel to it, like an alternate reality.

Attractions:

- Fantasmic! The Ride (Castle Courtyard):
Inspired by the live show, this ride will be the ultimate Disney attraction. Featuring all the greatest characters, both heroes and villain, Mickey will once again star in his own dream that will span all the most beloved and renown places in the universe of Disney.

- Cinderella's Caroussel (Castle Courtyard)

- Royal Garden Maze (Castle Courtyard / Fantasy Gardens)

- Winnie the Pooh: An Adventurous Hunt for Hunny (Fantasy Gardens)
Featuring an all-new ride system and based on a new story, this ride will take place both in an indoor themed enviroment and in the even more beautiful outdoors. The ride will not only tell a humourous and entertaining story, but also feature (very) mild thrills.

- Alice's Whimsical Wonderland Wonders (Fantasy Gardens):
Dive into Wonderland, as this new ride takes you into the mysterious woods for the very first time. The unique ryde system and special effects will truly realize Wonderland.

- Mad Tea Party (Fantasy Gardens)

- Storybookland Canal Boats (Fantasy Gardens):
The new and extended Storybookland Canal Boats will take you almost all around Fantasyland, both from the inside and outside, giving you a unique insight into the enchanting Disney and various other fairytales.

- Peter Pan's Magical Flight (Fairytale Village):
Based on the current ride, this new version will feature new designs and technology to better immerse the audience into the story.

- Pinnochio's Daring Journey (Fairytale Village):
This new flume ride featuring the story of Pinnochio will be a mix of excellent storytelling and small, but entertaining thrills.

- Mickey's PhilharMagic (Fantasy Festival)

- It's a Small World (Fantasy Festival)

- Dumbo The Flying Elephant (Fantasy Festival)

Shows:

- Sword in the Stone (Castle Courtyard):

- When A Dream Comes True... (Castle Stage)
I have yet to work out the details on this one...

- Beauty and the Beast (Fairytale Village):
Inspired by the current show at Disney-MGM Studios, this show will take place inside a massive theather themed to the mansion of the beast. The live show will be one the most stunning and immersive ever to be seen on Disney property, also utilizing new special effects from holographic images to the newest in AA.

- Fairytale Garden: Princess Tales (Fantasy Gardens):

Dining:

- The Royal Princess Banquet (Restaurant / Castle)
- Geppeto's Village Haus (Counter-service / Fairytale Village)
- Fantasy Faire Food Festival (Counter-service / Fantasy Festival)
- The Enchanted Tree (Fastfood / Fantasy Gardens)
- The Royal Feast (Fastfood / Castle Courtyard)
- Pooh's Hunny Tree (Snacks / Fantasy Gardens)
- The Blue Fairy's Magical Ice Cream Cones (Snacks / Castle Courtyard)

Fantasyland - Since this is going to be the biggest land and with along all Magic Kingdoms, have the main icon of the park, Tha castle. So I decided to change it up a little bit.

The Entrance = Traditionally, The Castle is the entrance but this time it will be a large garden themed to the many Disney fairy tales and classics with an elaborate "Fantasia Fountain" as its centerpiece (concept art will be revealed sometime in the near future). The garden will feature many hidden surprises with personal grottos for 6 different classic feature lenght animated movies that represent 6 periods of Disney Animation:

"The Beggining" - Snow White
"The War" = Mr. Toad
"The Golden Age" - Cinderella
"After Walt" = Robin Hood
"The Renaissance" - The Little Mermaid
"The New Age" = Tarzan

*you can change the movies if you want as long as the 6 eras are represented.

Past this garden is the large Fairy Tale Castle which borrows design elements from most of the Disney castles (it can transform into any of the 6 fairy tale castles depending on the show that requires it to)

Inside The Castle

-The interior of the Castle follows the motif of the garden in that it pays tribute to all The Disney Animated Features (there will be a giant mural dedicated to ALL the animated shorts and features upon the entrance to the castle), particularly the Fairy Tales (where each of the 5 Fairy tales have lovely walkthroughs/dioramas ). the castle will have the necessary shops and probably a restaurant.

attractions inside the castle
Mickey's Philharmagic - An expanded version of the MK classic which also uses Audio-Animatronics.
Mystery of The Castle - The Magic Mirror from Snow White takes guests inside a sinister world of darkness in the itnention to take their soul. Guests must now follow Mushu from Mulan and the Three Gargoyles from Hunchback to retrieve the Sword in the Stone to break free from the castle's evil curse.

That's just part one, i'll post parts two (The Castle Courtyard), three (The Fantasy Village), four (The Magical Forest), five (Fantasy Bay) and six (London Street) sometime over the week.

Fantasyland Part II

~*The Castle Courtyard

Cinderella's Royal Carousel - The Centerpiece of this area, The carrousel will be gigantic double-decker carousel housed inside a huge glass dome and is surrounded by a moat.

Sleeping Beauty's Adventure - A DArk ride themed to Sleeping Beauty

Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Musical - Using animatronics, the tale as old as time is told once more through music and magic in this beautiful theater style show.

The Shrine of the Sword in the Stone - Located in the middle of a small stone henge type area.

~*Fantasy Village - This is where most of the shops and a restaurant will be located

Once Upon a Toy - Toys come to life in this magical new dark ride which features the story of the Steadfast Tin Soldier.

Notre Damme Theater - The late lamented Hunchback of Notre Damme musical from Disney-MGM returns in its full glory and even better than ever as Gypsies tell the legend of Quasimodo to the townsfolk of Fantasy village.

Coming later on in the evening: The Magical Forest, Fantasy bay and London Street

Hey, so I'm back again. Surprised to see so few posts, but great you kept doing something stitch...

Lets see... I'm not sure I like the whole change in the entrance and what's up with "The War"?

But besides the garden, I think the rest sounds great. Philharmagic would be great as a castle attraction. The mystery of the castle I'm unsure of. Mushu and the three gargoyles? Hmm, I'm not sure...

I pretty much agree on everything in the castle courtyard...

And also like Fantasy Village...

So great ideas in total :)
