Islands of Adventure, best theme park?

I think I'll give this a different perspective! As the best overall theme park in the USA is Magic Kingdom(when adding new FL)! now for the other perspective! As far as THEMING goes I would have to go with DAK. I find it the most emersive park and most beautiful!

I think Toon Lagoon is the best themed island at IOA. I have always loved Ripsaw Falls and Popeyes, and Comic Strip looks amazing and is fun to walk down!

Ripsaw was a rushed project and not "originally" intended to open with the park. While the exterior is amazing and the TNT Shack was a marvel of engineering the interior suffered from the rush and at that point increasingly tight budget.

The only thing DAK has going against its beauty is Dinoland U.S.A.... *barf*

And there are some parts in Ripsaw Fall's interior that do look a little bare.

They all look like cartoon caves to me?
There is one part of the ride (right before the first drop) where there is some black painted walls, but that's it.

I just watched an HD on-ride POV and it made me realize it's actually themed very well, except that one part.

Isn't saying something is the best subjective? What is used as proof to call something the best? Every theme park as its good, bad, and ugly. My opinion may be IOA is the best park, but is it a fact that it is the best park?

IOA is very well themed. IOA has many fun and exciting rides. Potter has only made IOA better. Last year, IOA was my favorite park to visit. So much so I spent two days there, and one day every where else. I never felt bored unlike at DHS.

So to say it is the best, I don't know if that is fair. But if someone wants to say IOA is their favorite park, I can be on board with that!

You're right. It's all a matter of opinion. But IOA is of course my favorite.

I'm with you. IOA became my favorite too. I can honestly say, last year was the first time I was ever bored in a WDW theme park and had more fun elsewhere.
Right now, I'm way more of a fan of Universal Orlando. I love Disney, but I just think I'm more of a Universal guy. They really are beautiful parks and amazing to experience. And I love the close proximity of everything in the resort. I can't wait until I visit IOA in November with my Dad who has never been!

And one thing I never get tired of is hearing that entrance music. I wish I could find out the name of it... Ugh.

Is it this song? This is the entrance music for USH, so it could be the same.

when you are a teen.. you are in the heart of Uni's demographic.. and at the low point of Disney's demographic. It's not unusual at all to prefer Uni at that stage in your life... its actually the most natural selection. The balance of attractions and themes are targeted to that age group.

No, but it really sounds like it! I actually found 3 videos of the entrance music and Port of Entry music.

I'm a sucker for epic theme park music and IOA, US and DHS really do it for me. Especially IOA.

Oh my goodness, the second one sounds A LOT like USH. Crazy!
Yeah, it reminds me of the song "Flying" from the live-action Peter Pan movie! These songs are perfect for an amazing theme park experience like USH and IOA. Not sure if they play it at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida...

Ah, I want to go now. :(

I wish Islands of Adventure still sold their soundtrack in the park... Oh well, I have YouTube.

And I'm (hopefully) going to IOA in November. My dad hasn't been and he's all excited about The Incredible Hulk and The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman.

Oh god, this music REALLY has me so excited now...

YouTube is the best, right? I'm sure you can find the soundtrack on Amazon or eBay.

I hope you guys get to go! I just came back from USH a couple of weeks ago. I have a pass so I can go now if I wanted to but I don't want to go by myself LOL.
