Is you have a FP+ for the parade, do you stay in same place for wishes?

Wondering: if I get a FP+ for the parade viewing, do I get to stay in the same place for Wishes or do I have to move?

Don't know whether you can stay or not (I'd guess that yes you can), but IMO that area is way too close to the castle to get a good view of Wishes.

But if you don't overly care about the view and you just want the convenience of not having to move, then I say go for it.

It's my understanding that the FP+ viewing area for Wishes is in the Rose Garden area, separate from the area for MSEP. That means there's little or no reason you can't stay in the same spot.

That said, you might be a bit too close to fully enjoy Wishes. I've been on the northern outside edge of the hub for wishes and although it was still enjoyable, there were certainly some fireworks that could not be seen because the castle blocked the view. Moreover, if you plan on video or pics, it'll be tricky to zoom out enough to fit the entire castle and show in frame.

I've seen it recommended that after MSEP, you fall back to around the Partners statue or even a bit south of there for CtM and Wishes. I've never done that, but that's my plans for my trip in a few weeks.

Best view I have seen in the park is a little further back from the statue there is a hump over the moat or something.. that is the highest elevation on Main Street/in front of the castle and seems to be the perfect place to watch the fireworks and the projection show from. You can really see everything from there!

FP+ for Wishes is really nice as well as it is in the rose garden and offset from the castle at a good angle. If you have kids it is nice to be able to spread out a blanket on the grass and get some time off your feet as well.

And once the Hub reconstruction project is done, the FP+ areas will be little fenced-off parks directly on either side of that Main Street "hump" you speak of. They'll be an excellent viewing location.

Just so everyone knows.. last night we watched the fireworks from behind the castle again near BoG restaurant and they turned the sound on there.. I am not sure if they just had it turned off while they were working on the mine train or what.. but you can hear what is going on from the speakers now.. very nice place to watch from if you don't mind looking back over the beasts castle for most of the bigger fireworks.

Follow up with my experience from our recent trip...

We had a FP+ for the May 14th and arrived shortly after they opened up the FP+ area. There wasn't too many empty spots along the rope, but we found a nice location behind some not-so-tall people and enjoyed the parade from there. Unfortunately, it rained on our parade (literally) and we had to seek cover shortly after the dragon went by.

On May 18th, we tried again, but this time without a FP+. I had noticed that there's a really nice spot behind the FP+ area, just north of the Partners Statue. So we set out to take that spot about 30 minutes before the parade. Strangely *nobody* was taking that area, despite the really good view and nearby benches. *That* spot must be the best kept secret for watching FoF. It's a little harder to see the ground performers, but you get a perfect view of the floats. And because the FP+ area isn't crowded, there's nobody directly in front of you.

Of course, now that I've revealed this secret, I fear that we won't be so lucky next time. :)
