i have a trip planned for the end of july... and i want to hit a nice romantic restaurant (and the girl in me thinks it would be fun to get dressed up). i see that there is a general consensus that Victoria & Albert's can't be beat for it's romantic setting... But what i want to know (before dishing out all that money) is if it's worth it.

Thanx!!!!! :animwink:

Well I haven't been to V&A though it's on my list one of these days. I'd have to agree w/ the CA Grill. I ate there a few weeks back and the meal (and desert) was great! It's a bit on the expensive side but worth it for a nice evening out. Be sure to ask for a window seat by the park, it's neat to watch the attractions as you dine.

I've eaten both at the California Grill and Victoria and Alberts numerous times. If you really want to have a romantic meal( and a great dining experience) definately go with Victora and Alberts. Well worth every penny. Hey but what the hell you're on vacation, do both!

Definately worth it. Here is a pic of the coffee pot they use at the end of the meal. A real unique touch.

thanx for the advice everyone!!!

i wish i had thought about this earlier... i would LOVE to have a personal chef at V&A's. but then i learned that it's usually booked 6 months in advance.

i'm so used to eating dinner in my room at Old Key West... i'm not that familiar with these upscale restaurants. i guess the best plan is to make a few reservations and then decide when i get there.

You are going to need to leave a credit card number for a reservation at V&A ( I believe it is $50.00) and you will be charged it you don't show up. I would call to get a reservation before you go you have a good chance of getting a table, maybee even the chef's table if you are flexible on the days/times.
