Is this what we have to look forward to from Tom Staggs?

I guess this is a little on topic. What is the chances that TWDC woud groom John Lasseter to take over the head job?

Be careful what you wish for. Everything I've read pegs Lasseter as loving synergy just as much(or more if it pertains to one of HIS IPs) as management. He'll cartoon the parks just as much as the next guy.

That being said, he knows how to make a great movie. Just watch what you wish for when it comes to the parks.

The fact a quarter billion dollar project can be green lit and have shovels in the ground take MONTHS if not a year or so to get finalized. Staggs stops it after ground is broke and wants to redo it.

What's worse? The fact that the previous regime green lit a monstrosity that had to be stopped? Or that now that walls are up and holes dug, they need to retool it and redevelop it in a few months? I would have to imagine they are seriously going to have to cut some corners and skip some processes so they can get it done in record time. Or will they just dust some half finished ideas off the shelf and stick them in to fill the gaps?

I will certainly wait to see the end product before my final judgment, but based on what I just said, Staggs will have to pull off a miracle to get those walls down on schedule and deliver a product that he deems "better" than the original plans. Do you really think he will pull this off successfully? I'm thinking no, but only time will tell. And right now, there isn't much to go by.

It looks to me as if the rebooted version will encompass several phases over a few years in the manner DCA is happening just not on the same scale. The mystery project may even happen after Dumbo and the areas north of it are completed.

I believe Lee directly stated it would be a D-ticket. The land is about the same size as the Fantasyland east showbuilding (about the size of the Haunted Mansion showbuilding), which contains two dark rides, a food and beverage location, and a couple of merchandise locations. If this was a coaster-type ride, the ride vehicle would be moving significantly faster, meaning a shorter ride. I think it's too early to make further assumptions until additional information is released, but I'm fairly confident that a the new ride is not on the scale of an e-ticket.

The person I've asked is Lee who said he had no idea what the ride would be like. He probably guessed it was a D ticket and he very well might be right.... hopefully and possibly wrong.
