is it just me or does it seem like over the last month things have been really going well at disney?-increased attendance, monsters inc,new things going on all over disney.com, a really good x-mas season at disney stores and catalog sales, figment coming back.
just seems like disney is well on their way of becoming the disney we all know and love sooner than most thought. most people thought it would be 2003 before anything positive at disney but just seems that like overnight really good things have happened.

If Imagination is good and Mission Space is decent, I will feel VERY optimistic...especially if they have a good 20th Anniversary celebration.. :sohappy:

Isn't EPCOT turning 20 this year?

Well yes but you didn't specify Epcot...I guess I should have picked that up from you mentioning imagination and m:space but I didnt. :)

OKAY...That's right! (Prepare for the worst!!) lol

But in all seriousness, what's it planned to be now? A simulation? :(

well, a simulation in that they aren't physically launching you into space, but it will be the best simulations on the planet and the only of its kind...if for no other reason, because other parks can't afford it. Simulating weightlessness without a 200 foot drop isn't easy to do without a lot of people throwing up, but this is supposed to do just that. How? I don't think we really know yet...there is speculation that it will be a centrifuge of sorts, but who knows?

Still. A stimulation will never beat Horizons! :(

those simulations are NOTHING like Mission: SPACE...look at the price tag on the project. $100,000,000. This is going to be the best ride to hit disney in a LONG time...people will flock to Epcot to experience it...so for those of you in support of queue lines...haha...good luck with those lines! This attraction will be designed for Fastpass, which means two separate queue lines, and the stand by line's wait will be ATROCIOUS when this opens...

Epcot has a serious lack of "E" tickets...this one will be the mecca of all disney has ever offered...

Yep, Epcot does need an E-Ticketer....

I also wanted them to replace the Global Neighborhood, or close a part of Innoventions, or if they have to, World Showplace, to create a very large tribute to the old EPCOT Center - showing memoribilia, animatronics, the attractions on TV, and many interactive things. It's my dream if I become an Imagineer and do something to that extent....it's perfect for the 20th anniversary.

Well...from PURE rumors...there were plans to build a matterhorn clone in the world showcase, of course after Misson:Space opened... They seem to be taking notice that Epcot as it stands right now needs more....

And well...I am sure if they heard your plans for the world showcase...you woudlnt get the job..hehe
