1) I have never been to WDW in the summer. We arrive August 20th, which I understand a less crowded week.

2) I never used a booked in advance fast pass before.

3) We arrive Sat Aug 20the at Sanford at 1230.

Here is what I planned for our first day - relay half day:

Lv Sanford airport, arrive at Old Key West via towncar by 2pm. If we are lucky room is ready, we plop our stuff in and find somewhere to eat. If room is not ready, find somewhere to eat and hopefully be settled into our room by 430. Either way hope to have eaten and check in and on our way by 430.

430 - head to transportation and ticket center and allow my daughter to ride the mono rail thru Epcot. Disembark and head to MK. We have a fastpass for Space Mountain to be used between 6 pm and 7 pm....thinking it will be closer to 630pm???

Be at Peter Pan's Flight by 720 pm. W have fast pass good for 720 to 820 pm.

Be Its a small World (which goes into rehab Monday I believe) at 850pm Again we have a FP for 850 - 950.

Catch the parade at 9pm as best we can....either after IASW or see parage then hit IASW, then head back to room.

Thoughts?

I think you should be fine. FP lines are very quick, but IASW is a fairly long ride, so I'd suggest going on it after seeing the parade. You'll have more than enough time for the rest though, and you'll probably end up standing around waiting for your times to open up, so I'd suggest finding other short line attractions to go on in between.

The only problem I can see is how do you intend to get to the TTC to ride the monorail. There are no direct buses to the TTC anymore. You'll either need to take the bus to MK or Epcot and take the monorail from there. Going from Epcot, you wouldn't go through Epcot on the way to MK. Going to MK first, you'd need to take the monorail to the TTC, then the monorail to Epcot, then repeat to return. You might be tight for time to make it to your first FP at Space Mountain. Don't want you to be too rushed right from the start.

Jeez, my memory is bad..so I take a bus to MK then get on the mono rail, off at TTC and on the EPCOT rail....I get my little tour thru EPCOT then don't get off at Epcot, stay thru the TTC then off and onto rail to MK...it is sort of sounding like a bit of time! Perhaps we just do this little tour Sunday morning and spend the day at EPCOT...???

Very realistic.
Not staying for Wishes, though? Or are you trying not to get too tired on the first night? Staying for the fireworks will drastically increase the amount of time needed to get back to your resort.

I agree that it would be better to do the monorail tour on a different day. If you're going to EPCOT on Sunday, take the bus to MK and do the monorail to get to EPCOT.
