I have used Groupon twice and had mediocre success both times...Once was for a dining discount which after I purchased it I found out it was about as easy to use as a set of Ikea assembly instructions. The other was for a home surveillance system and when one of the video inputs was non functional I was told by the manufacturer that any items sold through Groupon carry ZERO warranty despite the usual one year manufacturer warranty statement. For those reasons I would not expect too much from anything along the lines of what was in the OP.

Not the same thing, I know, but, I once bought 3 nights in a hotel just outside of WDW through a Public TV fund raising auction. When I called the hotel to make reservations no one had any idea what I was talking about. They had never heard of it, no one in the organization had any idea what I was talking about. In other words, for all intents and purposes it just plain didn't exist.

When I called the TV station to tell them that either the item was bogus or some wires had gotten crossed somewhere along the line, they basically accused me of just trying to get out of it. And refused to refund my money. I eventually had to threaten to make it known publicly that they were selling non-existing items as a fund raiser before they offered to call the company themselves. They did call and got the same response that I did, except they were told the the hotel had been just recently purchased by a different organization and that they didn't agree to honor any obligations made by the previous owner nor were they aware of any obligation like that. The station said they would return my money and I just told them to keep it and send me one of their rewards packages that had coffee mugs, tote bags and (at the time) VCR's of a special program in place of the trip. They did and we all lived happily ever after.

I give the same disclaimer to anyone traveling with me. I can give you as much useless park information as you want. Just decide how much do you really want to know about the parks and feel free to tell me when enough is enough.

My trip a few weeks ago I was with a friend who has been there once before but spent the time being a kid wrangler and my 13 year old niece who hasn't been in 5 years and is getting more interested in different Disney things. They both seemed eager to find out some things that they wouldn't have noticed before. For a relative newbie it's easy to point out things like the 2nd story windows of Main Street to pointing out theming for each land...basics for most of us here but interesting info for people who are not well versed in Disney.

I noticed two adult couples near us on Main Street and they followed us to Adventureland. We did a pit stop at the washrooms near the Magic Carpets and continued to POTC. The two couples were still pretty close. When we got to POTC one of the men said, "Excuse me, we'd like to continue the tour, should we follow you onto the ride?"

My response was "Sorry this is a private tour just for these ladies" then I rolled my eyes towards my niece and friend and whispered "Celebrities" as if it was such a pain to deal with them.

They backed off probably wondering who the heck they were just following.
