Is there no nighttime parade in the MK anymore?

It is hard to imagine any nighttime parade in MK while every square inch is occupied for HEA. So unless they plan on jettisoning HEA for a parade or significantly rope off many of the prime viewing spots of HEA for a parade route, it ain't gonna happen.

I don't get it - isn't HEA just the current fireworks show, and didn't that always come after the parade? Why is HEA getting crowds so much larger than what the previous fireworks show (Wishes?) got? Is it that different?

IIRC, Wishes was a fireworks show that was viewable throughout the MK and other areas, did not depend upon projections on the castle viewable only from certain locations in front of castle, and did not cause as great a congestion in the hub area as HEA does now, but you may very well be right. Hopefully, I am wrong.

They also had that earlier show with projections on the castle, I forget what time that was and what it was called - before the parade? It didn't seem to be a problem. I guess since they got rid of the parade everyone feels they need to see this show which is the projection show and fireworks rolled into one.

Our most recent trip was our first exposure to the CF that congregates/clogs the hub area for HEA that seems to begin gathering well before sunset and, IMHO, creates an impassable and even dangerous situation. The prior projection show was a warm-up event that seemingly did not gather the crowds that the only show in town (HEA) does now since Wishes was still the big kahuna later. Also, the warm-up projection show did not (as HEA does) completely render impassable MSUA and the side "roads" into the other lands. Of course, none of this was a problem earlier when SpectroMagic and Wishes ruled the night. Again, time will tell if everything will work together.

Helps that Jiminy hosted both Spectromagic and Wishes.

My guess would be to handle the crowds for both a parade and HEA (or potential HEA updates or a new 50th show), there will only be one parade performance instead of two. Especially if the new parade will be (hopefully) very elaborate and expensive to run. Unlike MSEP and Spectro they might choose to not run the new parade into the ground.

Crowds gather and take up more space for HEA because there’s literally nothing else for them to do...instead of waiting along the parade route dispersed, they go ahead and fill in all of the hub.
This wasn’t a problem with Wishes because they literally couldn’t wait and fill in all the space in the hub because the parade route was set up and blocked off...after the parade would go by though that hub and all areas would immediately fill up.
