Things like this go through phases of approval and through a lot of hands before reaching the public.


Someone had to draw these out...either by hand or CAD
Someone had to approve these drawings
Someone had to feed the drawings to the molding machines
Someone had to run the machines
Someone had to assemble these
Someone had to package these things for sale
Someone had to unpack these and put them on the shelves for sale.

Are you telling me that all of these people had pure thoughts with not a single giggle?

Of course not, just like years ago the animators drew things in that were not entirely proper to amuse themselves and they snuck by. But there had to be someone whose final approval was given on these cups and they werent about to pass through something they would be called on the carpet for having lewd design sold to kids. It got passed by someone who wasnt looking at it as we are now. Do you think they would be giggling if they lost their job over a blunder like this?

See the reason these are so awesome is because it's not technically regular disney marketing. It's in japan and from a website that is not their own! japan has the best merch.
