Is there fake snow on New Year's Eve?

I know that there's fake snow for Very Merry Christmas Party, but I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there was fake snow on New Year's Eve with the fireworks? Does anyone know if this is true? If so, is it just Magic Kingdom? Is it there for the "test run" on December 30?
