Those Front of Line Hotel keys are incredible...Disney probably could not do that with all the resorts they have though. Fastpasses nice...front of line keys AWSUM

hmmmmm thats it! unless you have some:shrug:

They currently have the best and most advanced attraction in Harry Potter, and possibly the second with Spiderman. I'm as big a disney fan as anyone, but no one can say that Harry Potter isn't a mind blowing attraction.

After seeing pictures and videos of Harry Potter I have to agree. I am not even a potter fan and that place looks amazing. My 14 year old sister has asked to go to IOA instead of DHS for a day.

It would not work at Disney because it has far too many resort guests. Standby lines would come to a complete halt if you gave every resort guest a US style pass.

Universal has A LOT of things over Disney, but there is an inherent problem with posting such an inquiry in front of the most biased audience on the issue. It's like going to a Backstreet Boys fan website forum and asking what traits N'Sync has over the Backstreet Boys. :zipit:

I'll say it. Didn't blow my mind. The castle walk through was incredible, but the ride itself is way over-hyped. Then again, I feel the same way about Spider-Man. It's technology is really cool, but it doesn't leave me wanting more.

Just about every amusement park out there has roller coaster technology above what Disney uses, but that's not what makes Disney's attractions great.

First thing that comes to mind is that Universal has a much nicer evening entertainment complex for adults (bars, clubs, restaurants, shows).

Heading for the great escape.
Fewer menopausal old bats wandering around poorly attired, no fan boys reciting lines, Margaritaville, a studio that makes things, and The Hard Rock Hotel.

Bolded, underlined, and italicized for truth.

Hard to find something more annoying then some loser reciting the lines in the stretching room. We get it, you know the words. Infuriating.

Also, Margaritaville is awesome. Along with the rest of CityWalk.

Im definitely a Disney lover but US/IOA has a better adult entertainment with CityWalk. Being in FL, it used to be the thing to drive down to orlando for a fun night at PI. Now, it's CityWalk. US/IOA does have some better rides as far as adults and thrill. Disney definitely captures the kids' attention better than US/IOA but Dr. Seuss landing is pretty awesome. Disney has a better variety of resorts but they are slowly losing on the price/value deal for hotels. Hard Rock Cafe is pretty cool, too. I also like the fact that, to park hop at US/IOA, it doesn't require transportation. That makes it so much easier with kids.

We went to US/IOA for the 1st time this past August and the only reason we went was for Harry Potter... Quite honestly I wasn'tt impressed with the park! HP is honestly the only thing I would go there for again.

The Jurrassic Park flume ride comes to mind I just love it!
Also I have and affinity for Dr. Suess land, sundaes on a stick and as an ex comic book geek the Marvel land excites me. I also miss the Lost continent but from what I have been reading, it seems Harry Potter wolrd seems pretty neat.

They have good pieces like big name film franchises to base their thrills and entertainment Universal just lacks the staying factor which makes Disney and Universal a sort of Batman and Robin duo. Its a good day trip, but its a stretch to actually stay at a hotel there. Harry Potter is plain amazing.

I would have to agree - Spiderman is my favorite ride anywhere, haven't seen Harry Potter yet, love staying at the hotel and getting the front of the line, less crowded, my son loves the Hulk coaster. Jurassic park ride is totally awesome, no what I call cheesy film rides ( like Gran Fiesta, and Journey into Imagination). One thing Disney does better is food. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Disney, but they could learn a few things from Universal (and vice- versa)

I went on it. It seriously isn't that great. The film is incredibly grainy. Half the screen wasn't working. The dementors looked like something out of a carnival ride. The inside of the castle is INCREDIBLE. One of the best themed attractions. The overall ride left me incredibly underwhelmed after all the reviews I read praised the ride as the best ever.
