Cafe Orleans is fine, but the pricing has outpaced its offerings. Unless you're going there to get a Monte Cristo sandwich, I don't find much value in a $20+ green tomato sandwich or crepe. River Belle now does table service dining, so that might be an option to consider.

I'm assuming you re asking about table service restaurants only ? If so, I think Blue bayou and Carthay Circle are better than Cafe Orleans. I'm not a huge fan of their signature item, the Montecristo. It's too doughy making the bread to fillings ratio all off. However, I did get a short rib special once there that was very good. Cafe Orleans is one of the better restaurants at the park but I think the two I mentioned above have better food.

Of course the Fried Chicken at the Plaza Inn > everything else.

In either park? Yeah, but I do love the Monte Cristo. I prefer Carthay, Wine Country and maybe even Carnation Cafe and quite honestly, I'd rather pay less money and eat at either Jolly Holiday or Boardwalk for the delicious Chicken and Sun Dried tomato pasta.

I'm pretty fond of the patty melt over at Carnation, and those fried pickles are way better than they have any right to be!

I am also a big fan of Carnation. If I am in DL for a couple of days I always do one (Carnation and Café Orleans) each day. I haven't ever been impressed with meals at the Blue Bayou. We've been many times (friends always want to try it) but I can't ever say I have had an outstanding meal. Too bad because the atmosphere rocks.

Those are some of my favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, I never get to go to them because I have kids who like bad pizza and hamburgers. At least the Mexican places are fairly good.

Carthay Circle was the best meal we had at DLR. We had 8 TS meals in our short trip to DL and Cafe Orleans was definitely one of our faves, but we booked it strictly for the monte cristos and the price difference between it and Blue Bayou. We did eat dinner at Blue Bayou, so entirely different food, but we were unimpressed with that experience...sort of a cross it off...do it to say we did it sort of thing.

Carnation has fried pickles?!?!? I'm going to have to check that out.

I wasn't a huge fan of Carnation, but I did like the pickles. :)

Maybe not in DLR but the fried calamari at Uva Bar was my favorite from the last trip. Delicious iced tea. Perfect weather and great people watching.

I love Uva! I haven't been in so long, now I want to go back! One Sunday night a couple years back, I got incredibly wasted and was left alone to die in the parking garage by my girl friend. I don't even remember how I got home. Good times!
