Is the mote still going to wrap arround the hub?

It was always to look like it continues under - just a lot of panicked people who jump to conclusions started saying that it was being completely filled in.

Yes, there will still be a moat around the hub. They're just adding significantly more walkways, and some Fastpass viewing areas.

Anyone know if the construction impacts the viewing of the fireworks from the dessert buffet at tomorrow land terrace?

I don't believe so - we walk through there last month during the evening and I don't remember the view of the Castle being obstructed. However, that would be a bummer if you got an ADR which has to be paid in advance, correct, and when you showed up you couldn't see the Castle or the fireworks because of the construction walls.

Thanks! Our 180 days is coming up soon, so I will try to book, but maybe I'll need to find out closer to the time and cancel if it is obstructed.

Like I said, I think you will be fine. But it was after Wishes when we walked through - we were pooped but wanted to wander over to Tomorrowland and see if Space Mountain standby was short, so we had cut back to go that way rather than over the bridge - we had FP for the Rose Garden viewing area. Okay, I admit it, we really wanted some ice cream...

Watching Wishes from the Rose Garden is awesome because Tinker Bell flew right over me - and that fairy has some muscles. ;) You can stand, sit or my preference, lay on your back and get the best view of Tink and the fireworks. Just remember to bring a blanket (or steal a towel from your room - I didn't say that) to sit on as the grass might be a little damp. I've seen the fireworks from in front of the Castle, the back of the Castle, inside the Castle (timed that ADR for CRT right), from the monorail, the beaches at both Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian, my balcony at both resorts and the best by far was laying on my back in the Rose Garden. I felt like I was inside the fireworks. So if you cannot get the ADR for the dessert party, try to get a FP for the Rose Garden viewing area. And you have the CM policing people so they won't be standing in your view along the outside of the railing. Most people I noticed ended up sitting on the grass in the Garden.

People were mad thinking they were filling it in all the way, truth is this needed to be done fill it in or not. Now they should make a round version of the Fountain of Nations for the center. That would make it complete.

Not old, just vintage.
For the record, the Wishes Dessert Party area is fine. You get a lovely view of the construction zone (backside of construction anyone?) but everything is happening 5-10 feet below the Tomorrowland Terrace. Since fireworks are up in the sky it works out just fine.
