Is the Food & Wine event an obstruction at Epcot?

I THINK the Food & Wine thing will be running when I'm at WDW (Oct 19-27). Is it something I need to be aware of as far as affecting touring in Epcot? I've heard people say it actually shortens the lines for attractions - I hope that's true.

All that follows is personal opinion...

Sandy and I avoid this event like the plague. Our observations have been that WS is crowded to the walls with people that have had far too much to drink, and are very CLOSE to becoming dangerous. We're not willing to be around when they finally DO become dangerous.

...and both of us love our wine :). We just don't love a slew of people that we do not know who have had far too much of it.
We have been twice and I totally agree. Packed with people, all drinking their way around the showcase. Even witnessed some throwing up in bushes. Not our cup of tea.

I totally agree. The first time we went several years ago, it didn't seem so bad, but we went back 2 years ago, and we will never make that mistake again.
