Is the bird problem still there?

That is great, because a duck's diet is not complete without buttery popcorn.

These aren't normal ducks. They're special "Disney Ducks" that live on popcorn, pizza, hamburgers, french fries and other yummy theme park food items. :hammer:

When at Epcot, he went to this little area by the Fish and Chips shop to eat and there were all these seagulls. Tsplit second after 1 single fry fell onto the floor, the entire bird population it seemed of WDW desended upon us. It was actally quite scary since they are so agreesive. We decided to make a run for it and at one point I looked up and a bird was flying on top of my head like a 2 inches away. It was enough to give one a bird phobia!
A friend of mine also had an encounter with a bird when one came swooping down and pecked at her head, trying to pull some of her hair out! She has great hair so we joke with her that the bird thought it was so nice that he probably wanted to take it back home and build it's nest with it

Oh, how could I forget, I was also attacked once coming from the Downtown Disney West Side Parking Lot to the AMC Theaters. Apparently I was walking too close to a bird's nest in one of the palm trees. Knocked me on my head too.

Oh I looove the ducks! My dad will buy a big thing of popcorn and hold on to it all day, feeding a little bit to every duck he sees along the way. He never lets us eat any of it. One year at the Marketplace I made friends with a duck. He sat next to me on a brick wall for over an hour, even after all my food was gone. We have pics of me with him. I cried when I had to leave. I was only six, so I really thought I could take him home and keep him as a pet. The ducks in Fantasyland are my favorite.
Feeding any wild animal will create problems. Once the ducks associate humans with food, they will lose their natural fear of humans and will approach. This behavior can cause the duck to die because not all humans like ducks. The next problem is that the ducks can become very aggressive if the human they approach does not provide them food. They will bite and beat you with their wing knobs. They can also attack you from the air and inflict serious injury. It is best not to feed any wild animal.

That reminds me. Last time I went to Disney, a gull pooped on me...

But anyway, the bird problem is good, yet bad at the same time. The birds are scary with the fear of being pooped on but it is fun to watch them. One time, .... well actually many times, I saw a gull steal food directly out of the hands of a guest. Just swooped down and grabbed the food while the guest was holding it.

HEY!! How come birds never find their way inside attractions, like the indoor scenes on Splash Mountain? Birds could easily fly into those areas! ("partners") in MK?
when we were riding splash mtn and someone behind me was amazed at the life-like duck....but it was actually a real one

i personally didnt notice too much of a bird problem..but more of a bug problem..but i guess im just not used to all the bugs in florida

Actually I have a picture of Partner's with pooh. And today I had one of the hardest days at work ever, to top it all off a seagull poohed on my head, thank God I had my company issue baseball hat on.

Your no fun! I say only feed the cute animals like ducks, and if one does try to attack you, then as payment, catch it, take it home, and make Duck Larange.
