Thats exactly what Ivve been thinking ever since the Stitch started, I always thought Stitch shouldnt be in Tomorowland, if it goes anywhere at all, I never really liked Lilo and Stitch, the only thing I like about it is how they drew Stitch, But definwntly shouldnt be in Tomorrowland

As effective as Stitch would be in MGM, I must agree with the decision to put him in Magic Kingdom. I think he is much better suited in the family friendly atmosphere that MK represents, rather than the more adult-esque atmosphere of MGM.

What do you like at MK?

I liked AE. If AE fit in Tomorrowland, I guess Stitch does too. I used to think that AE would have seemed more at home at MGM. Don't ask me why. I guess it just never seemed like a MK kind of ride.

well that isn't all together true anyways but they made lilo and stitch to be a family movie meaning everyone which even though mgm is more adult it works there too. beyond that i just said that as a suggestion b/c that is where it was created and it was the big hit for wdw animation it just imho would have been a great rememberance for the animators etc. from mgm. w-eva thats all i was trying to say but either way its your opinion too.

Good point Scat... (can I call you Scat? Sorry if I can't)

I hadn't really thought about a tribute for the animators, but you are right. Stitch is really Florida Animation's crowning jewel, and I think something to honor that would be very much appropriate.

(And please don't take offense to me calling you Scat, I don't mean any)

I'm not so sure about Stitch yet....I know they want to bring more character theming into Tomorrowland (along with Buzz), but I do know I always felt that AE belonged in MGM, and that's why (I feel) it didn't make it. It was too scary for kids, and that's not the atmosphere they wanted in the MK. I think AE would have been much more successful over in the atmosphere of MGM.
I also agree Stitch would have been cute in Adventureland, but I'm not sure that's any better than tomorrowland. I guess he would have fit in both, that's kinda the point of him being Stitch

Well of course I think Stitch should've gone somewhere else. For a number of reasons:

1) AE was just too good to be replaced only after 8 short years. And it was still popular. Yes the lines were no longer extemely long but I had never seen a show that wasn't at least 3/4 full (even during the slower times). And I believe that the theater setting has such a high capacity that it takes a huge amout of people to even have any line at all. I think it just shows how popular AE was when it first opened.

2) Stitch would've been a better fit elsewhere because if the attraction were in Fantasyland or Adventureland or even MGM, then Lilo would be able to be put into the attraction. With SGE, Lilo will probably never be in a WDW attraction because they decided to put Stitch in Tomorrowland. And the movie was just as much her's as it was Stitch's.

3) Stitch is most popular with the very young set and the analysis modules will still be uncomfortable and unsettling for these kids.

4) There is still a possibility that some kids could get scared from the new show. No matter if the effects are supposed to be funny they could be still so realistic that it could startle some.

Though I love Stitch, I think the Alien Encounter Space could of been used for something more original... As Grizz said, Lilo & Stitch could be put into the Tiki Room. If you've ever watched Lilo & Stitch: The Series, there's no better place for Stitch then in the Tiki Room.

As for AE, I was never a huge fan, but I think the space where it is located could have been put to better use. With that said, I can't wait to see Stitch's Great Escape.

First, I think Stitch belongs to Magic Kingdom because this park is the most representative for Disney animated movies. Yes, I know that MGM is a MOVIE studio, but where is Cinderela's Castle? And where is Peter Pan, and Snowhite, and Buzz Lightyear, and Cptn. Hook, and Iago and Zazu? I don't know, Magic Kingdom IS the Park for Disney animated magic.

That being said, the Stitch ride storyline takes place before 626 lands on Hawaii. If you remember the movie before credits, is very modern and futuristic, with aliens and ships and robots. And if the timeline is BEFORE Hawaii, Tomorrowland is perfect!

Someone said Stitch could go on the Tiki Room. No please! That show was ruined enough, we don't need anoter "great and creative refurbishment" of the kind that "Journey Into Imagination" suffered.

That's my opinion on the matter. And other thing: "Lilo and Stitch" is considered to be the best traditional animation movie since Tarzan, so, it very well deserved to be on a ride or show or something.

I have to disagree about the Tiki Room being bad personally I think that the New Management show is very clever. Stitch could work in both the places but about Alien Encounter I saw it when I was seven and last summer I came back when I was 13 and I was frozen in fear of the ride that I asked to be shown the 'chicken exit'. When I heard that Alien Encounter was leaving I was thrilled that type of ride to too scary for little kids, and as for Stitch even if it is scary the kids already know his personality thus wont be as frightend of him. As for Stitch in the Tiki Room what would make the Tiki Room exciting is if Stitch caused mifcheif like he will in SGE. Though the Tiki gods would probebly banish him....:lookaroun

I feel it is ok (as said before) given that the attraction will feature the storyline before 626 lands on Hawaii. The theming is futuristic which is how Tomorrowland is now, not necessarily how it was meant to be originally. But the only constant thing in life is change.
