Is Splash Mountain holding up?

Really wish I could answer your question. We were there on Easter Sunday and our FP window started at 3:45 too bad the ride closed down at 3:47. It was down for hours, finally got tired of checking and it was getting colder, to cold to get wet at night.

Rode it on Saturday and the only thing that didn't seem to be working was one of the jumping fountains, but everything else-every animatronic was working. It looked even better, in my opinion, than it did reopening day (a couple of animatronics like blue bird and a showboat chicken weren't functioning).

The only problem remaining is that the rabbit raking leaves is still only saying one of the possible three lines of dialog. He just keeps saying "Being chased Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear, as usual." Even if it doesn't make sense to what the rabbit sweeping the porch says.
It should go like this:
Sweeping: "Why, Look! It's Br'er Rabbit!" Raking: "And Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear are highly zealous."
Sweeping: "Here come's Br'er Rabbit!" Raking: "Then Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear can't be too far behind."
Sweeping: "Look yonder! There goes Br'er Rabbit!" Raking: "Being chased by Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear, as usual."
I know that's probably something NO ONE else notices, but it drives me crazy.

is this the makings of a second sticky thread for one ride in the works?

how often are non essential parts of attractions broken/fixed anyway? at one point it looked like Everest was getting hourly updates some were so obsessed.

I'll easily admit that I am obsessed with SM. it's just Disney themselves gave themselves the reputation of "nothing ever being broken." I know that's not really the case anymore but it still frustrates the heck outta me when they can't fix VERY simple things like characters only saying one line of dialog constantly when they're suppose to have three. I can honestly live with the more complex things not working here and there because I understand they wear out and need to be fixed. But simple things like that and characters constantly being out of sync are unacceptable in my eyes.

agreed splash is my favorite too (until Bon Jovi is put in rock n roller coaster one day) but more than knowing things break I have no clue what it takes to get fixed. I used the Everest example because I'm fairly certain parts of the ride will not be fixed within an hours time, but I honestly have no idea on what a procedure for a ride should be expected to take or what it has taken in the past.

and mostly I still just don't understand why, like the yeti for so many years, that Everest thread is stuck in the forum by itself.

If you have time, here's a vid of SM only eight months old:

first time I watched this, I was stunned the characters had the potential to move so fluidly. Even after the three month refurb they still couldn't get it looking this good. It makes me wonder if they let the characters deteriorate beyond restoring their full movement. The tiki room at Disneyland in 2004 got all brand new AA's because they couldn't restore full movement to them. That's something I doubt Splash will ever get.
