Is Ohana truly booked solid towards the end of September already?

Hey all...

I was making a few ADR's today and I attempted to make an ADR at Ohana. I eventually selected all of the 10 days that we are going to be in the world and Ohana was completely book!

I even tried the 180th day (I went until the WDW booking system would not let me go anymore) and I was unable to get anything for 3 people before 8pm! Is Disney holding a few tables back or is Ohana booking up in advance of the 180 day time frame this fast?

I called on my 180 day mark at roughly 10AM... and all they had for my entire trip was an 8:45PM for 2 people. Everything else was gone. I'm headed in July! I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? really? In two hours you booked everything?

Everything in Sept is booked solid. With the ability for guests staying on-site to book 180 out for up to 10 days, things seem to be booking faster than before. Add on free dining, the Tower of Terror 10 Miler and opening of Food and Wine that last weekend and Epcot's 30th on Oct 1, it seems like it's going to be busy busy!!

That doesn't necessarily mean that in 2 hours they booked everything. If someone was arriving say 3 days before you for 7 days, they would be able to book ADR's 3 days before you, for all 7 of their days. Add in the thousands of guests doing the same thing, and you get no availability. :( Another perk to staying onsite though very unfair to those not staying on-site.

Ohana was the only one I had trouble getting just a little late on my 180 day mark for our August trip, crazy!! We ended up having to put it on our arrival night, which works out just fine...great way to kick off our vacation!!

Yes it is quite possible. Online ADR's open up at 6:00 AM and it is not uncommon for Ohana to be booked solid by 10:00 AM for 190 days. Mix in free dining and it would not surprise me if is was booked solid by 9:00 AM.

O'Hana is the most popular restaurant on property, so its more than believeable to think its already booked up.

Go late and catch the fireworks, they pipe in the audio and the view is not as bad as you might think.

Jimmy Thick-Fee or not, I book O'Hana ever other day on my trips just in case...

I got like the last reservation time i could for my trip in August, I'm just disappointed because its at 9pm and that night they have extra magic hours at DHS that I really wanted to go to!

I'm like checking everyday hoping for another time!!

Hopefully when it gets closer someone might cancel

That's outrageous! Thank God I was able to make my ADRS as soon as my 180 day mark came!:sohappy: We'll be going Sept.23-29 and staying @ POLY for our 15th anniversary!:) We were hoping the parks wouldn't be as crowded since we're taking the boys out of school for a week!:goodnevil Well, I guess that's what free dining, F&W Fest, EPCOT's 30th, TofT 10 miler, AND MNSSHP will do!

I'm going Sept.15-23rd staying at Poly. I called on my 180 day mark at 9am (for some reason the website would not allow me to book!) but I was able to get Ohana for dinner Sept. 21 at 5:20pm.

No ADRS

I've never made an ADR at 'Ohana and have eaten there every time. It depends on how much time you have. My husband and I have arrived right as the restaurant opened and waited 30 minutes and we've also arrived around 7:30 and waited an hour. We enjoy getting a drink, walking down to the beach, and use that waiting time to enjoy the ambiance of the Poly. We have never waited as long as they estimate when we check in. It's worth the wait for sure!

I'm wondering though with the new policy of non-shows and being charged if that will change the walk ups... Seems like people before would just skip out on their ADR and now if you do that, you get charged. So I wonder how that has impacted walk ups at the different restaurants.

On Sept. 13 I have an Ohana ADR - but I wanted it at like 8 so we can stay for Wishes if we want. So maybe thats why I had no trouble. It could also be it's more mid Sept then the end - then end of Sept. looks like its going to be very busy.

I'd keep checking to all looking for Ohana ADRs. I once called every day for a week until I got a Le Cellier ADR (about 3 years ago). So you never know!

Keep calling, people cancel. I've gotten some great prime time ADR's that were previously booked solid by checking daily.

We need time for things to happen.
I got up at 7 AM at the 180 day mark and made our ADRs. I was able to get 2 dinners at Ohana' during our last week of our upcoming September trip.

We were contemplating not taking the second day --- but it's our favorite meal by a mile so why not do it twice! I'm glad we did now.

With that being said They're both for after 7:30 --we don't mind eating late.
