Is MVMCP worth it?

Yes. My family and I went in December, 2009. It was great. Unfortunately, it was poring so everything was canceled. They give out Hot Cocoa though :hungry:. (But keep in mind both events are completely different)

IMO, if you are not an AP it is only worth it if you are not using/doing both admission and hard ticket on the same day. Back when these hard ticket events started and we had park hoppers we didn't use our hoppers that day. We did either a water park or turned it into a DTD/pool day. Being able to get into the park a few hours earlier than the hard ticket event time and the hours we were able to tour the park during the event made the ticket worth it.

I'd never pay Disney twice to enter parks on the same day, I just can't justify that expense.

I'm an AP holder so will be in HS earlier in the day. I bought a ticket for 11/11 last night. Figured I might as well experience it at least once. I enjoyed MNSSHP on 9/29. I'm less into M&G but did enjoy the whole atmosphere. Less wait times for rides (ie immediately) was a bonus too. Hopefully, with an early MVMCP too it will be a similar experience.

Make sure you go through the toll booths before 7:00. The AP doesn't cover parking fees for the party! If you go through after 7:00, you'll have to pay the $15 or whatever they're charging for parking.

You can enter as early as 4:00 with just the party ticket.

Yep, that is why I said unless you are an AP holder. At that point AP holders need to pick and choose which hard ticket events appeal to them. A 4-5 park hopper pass and duplicating admission on the same day is a waste even if you have a wonderful time.

Went last year and it was the best time I've had in the parks. Atmosphere, walked on every ride, shows were great. Next trip will definitely be at Christmas time again.

I love MNSSHP but the Christmas party is very good too. I do agree that the cookies and cocoa were only so
-so, the parade, decorations, lights, and ambiance are amazing. Last year was our first at the parks at Christmas, but we are going again in a month and probably again in 12/14. The best part of the parade is the scents that come with some of the floats. Amazing!
