It really is worth it??? Because I do have to agree that the room rates at Universal are cheaper than those at WDW...but you're soooo far away from everything in WDW.

So what if you're far away from WDW? Universal's resorts have better service (save for Hard Rock, I have no idea what in the hell is going on in that place), better themed, and are much closer to their parks than most of Disney's resorts. Did I mention you get FOTL access? The Royal Pacific is a perfect example. You can get discounted rooms there for a much as the All Stars are during the regular season, and the RPH by all accounts is giving even the Polynesian a run for it's money. The only complaint that I have heard about the Royal Pacific was from a UO regular that said their rooms are smaller than at the Portofino and Hard Rock. But considering that RPH's rooms are still just as big as at the Wilderness Lodge, I don't think that is a problem for most people.

My mother is actually heading down there and was wondering what exactly the room rates for the Royal Pacific are...(for Average Attendance time...like the last week of February)...

She was going to stay at Coronado but the prices seem a little high...compared to what she can get right outside of the WORLD

They should be around $159-$179 a night on the standard view. But, like I have told everyone else, spend the extra money and get the water view rooms. You don't want to spend your vacation on the south seas looking out over I-4. :)

>>>Oh yeah...and about how far away is it from WDW? (The Royal Pacific)...<<<

It depends on traffic. It usually only takes me around 15-20 minutes on a good day.

LOL. Whenever I am installing Windows for someone, I generally keep another computer online browsing the message boards. Half of Windows installation is waiting forever and a day. ;)

Yeah, no kidding...I totally know where you are coming from! I'm in the engineering dept. of a glass company and regenerating and plotting dwg's takes forever (window's based) and I'm always hoppin' around these forums.

Windows sucks, doesn't it? Sometime soon I am going to try out Lindows, which as I understand is a variant of Unix that emulates the Windows user interface. Wal-Mart recently dumped Windows for Lindows, so there must be something good about it.

It supposedly can run Windows programs. I really had not heard of it either until I saw the story on Firing Squad last week.

I would like to retract this statement. When I re-read it, I suddenly realized the absurdity of such a comment. Wal-Mart? Good? Not a snowball's chance in hell these two can be uttered in the same sentence. I humbling apologize for making such a rediculous and insane comment. :)

Oh it is definetly worth the stay at Universal's hotel. If you are planning to go to Islands of Adventure or Universal studios, you will save yourself hours and hours in line by using their very neat front of the line access. If you book it through hotels.com, you might save about $30.
