Is it worth at $700 savings to stay at Pop Century?

We stayed recently at POFQ with my son and, daughterinlaw and granddaughters age 4 and 6 and they lived the pool. We did not utilize the resort as much as we should have-- all our time was spent in the parks. You need to ask yourself how much time will I spend at the resort if it is just a place to sleep I'd go with POP and use the $7O0 on other things.

We don't spend every day at the parks. We usually plan to have 2 days off to go to DS, shopping, pool etc...

I would save the $700, visit other resorts on off days if you want to see them. POP's pools are nice enough plus you have access to AoA. The food is okay - good, the transportation will be better come September or just after. So I guess it also depends on when you are visiting. Also, which parks are the most important to you.

Can you also use the pool at AOA if you stay at POP?

Just got back from a short stay at Pop, first in many years, we usually stay Moderate. The room itself is great, well thought-out, cute Mickey headboard, lots of cubbies and modern use of space. Food court by day's end offers dirty floors, dirty tables, not what I have been used to expecting at a moderate. It is just such a high traffic area, I'm sure they do their best. Depends what is important to you. I'd rather stay there than off-site, I like the "bubble". Pool was adequate but nothing fancy without a slide. Food options were good in Food Court, but like I said, the dirty tables and floors did not scream Disney and turned me off to further visits.

We love POP! weve done breaks in the middle of the day, for the pool and such, and never ever had any troubles. We always get a ground floor room without even asking. Maybe were just that tired to ever notice the noise, but id save the money, and spend it on something else like a dinner show or something.

We are currently booked at POFQ. My kids are 8 and 5. Would you take the $700 savings and stay at POP or spend the money to stay at POFQ? We don't do the parks every day. We usually take 2 days to go to DS and chill by the pool.
Never pay a substantial amount more for a moderate...

Pop all the way and back.

Remember you have dedicated direct transport to 2 parks from there now as well

Weve always stayed at POP. Ill be back there in 11 days. Ill be there just for a short time though, but were taking my oldest niece and oldest nephew next year, and will stay at POP with them too. Skyliner just solidified it for us.

As a solo adult, I have stayed at both, and I like both. I have also split my stay between POP and POFQ, or the WL, AK, and Boardwalk.
It all depends on the discount I can get, how my finances are when I want to go, and if I am staying for a week or just a day
or so before a cruise. I feel most at home at the POP as I have stayed there a lot, and now since the rooms have been renovated I am
a much happier camper. It also now depends on how much more they will charge at the POP now that the Skyliner is a new option.

We're not fans of values - just too noisy and the pool always feels so crowded. I also am not a fan of the theme (nor was my offspring). With kids I'd do POFQ without a question. Only do POP if you do not spend any time really in the room IMO.

We used to love Pop, that's until we stayed when several baseball teams stayed there. It was loud well after midnight, and well, now we don't like Pop so much. POFQ is our favorite resort hands down. $700 for 7 nights, I would stay at POFQ.

We always stay at POFQ. My kids love it There! They need(😀) a water slide. We love the boats, the horse and carriages, he pool parties, the whole grounds are just beautiful. It's small and so easy to get around. Plus, your can use the riverside pool too. 2 great pools for one price. My kids never want to leave there even to go to the parks. My daughter asks to stay at" Mickeys hotel" all the time. Pop has no slide so my kids want no part of it. Don't miss the marshmallow roast and movie in the evening. Playing in the grass and just relaxing. Some of my favorite memories, and my kids, are of the resort. There are plenty of kids there to play with.

Here we go again, so I assume you have never driven over the speed limit or rolled thru a stop sign, although illegal, not always enforced, enjoy your trip, thx for the jab, just as expected

Ah, the "other people bend or break rules therefore I can do whatever I want" justification.

I'm not going to claim I've never broken rules in my life, but I'll own up to it. I'm responsible for myself, I'm not going to use random examples of other people flaunting to rules to justify my own actions.

Also, whether or not one can use another resort's pool is a black and white issue - it's not allowed. There's no margin of acceptability, whereas rolling through a stop sign or driving close to the speed limit is still generally accepted to a certain degree. This is like saying, people use the AoA pool who aren't guests therefore I can ignore stop signs and speed limits completely.
