Is it still impossible to get an ADR at BoG?

It is extremely hard to get. I had been hoping after free dining came out people would move their vacations around and I would be able to snag one for October but no luck. I dine there last week and around 7:30pm on a Thursday the main dining room was about half empty yet walks up were still being turned away.

Diligence is often rewarded. I stalked the dining website and picked up a cancelation around 60 days out. I have since seen several more come and go. If you don't get it, just keep trying. You never know.

I guess I have been lucky. I was able to go last year with no problem. This year had a party of 6 they had no table but found a table for 2 and 4
