Is it better to book a package?

I was looking in to the dream maker package.

Is it worth getting this package, or any package at all?

If i was to buy this I would get the silver add on thing...so my meals would be included.

I have read that it is less expensive to just do everything separate?

Can anybody help me out?

IMHO, you don't save money by using a package. You can get things for less if you buy them separately. Plus, there are bound to be things in the package you aren't interested in or won't have time for.

Other people like knowing that everything is paid for before they leave home. A package is a good way to spread out the payments (if you don't mind doing that on a credit card).

My advice is to find out how much each wish costs, (you can do that on the Disney website) then look at menus, prices on golf, water mice, etc. and see if it is worth it for you.

That is what I do for all my trips.... I keep my eye on mousesavers... then get the best "room only" rate I can get... then book that.

Then I go to the Disney Store before my trip... and get my park hoppers there.

It's been my experience that it's less expensive to do everything separately. Like DMC-12 said, you can find a good room rate at mousesavers.com. Also, if you book far enough in advance, you can get discounts on Park Hopper passes from the DisneyWorld website or from www.ticketmania.com.

I did the package thing in October and loved it :) I liked that I could use my wishes on anything and the wishes for meals cover everything....I always had food to take back to the room lol.... I actually had to find things to use wishes for on the last day but I thought it was well worth it :)

I fyou have any other question please feel free to PM me.

I agree with yellow Shoes. Do the math and watch for the discounts. I usually will post them on the boards as they come about. If you do choose to break things down separately, I do have discounted tickets on my website for various Florida attractions.

I'm sure you can save money, but I prefer the package, and so far that is all I have ever used. I like knowing that my Ultimate Park Hopper is there waiting for me, with access to everywhere I want to go! (I haven't used the add-ons, Silver plan etc.):)
