i just returned from my annual trip to HHN last night. i go every year and have been doing so for the past 4 years or so. and it was enjoyable as usual. however, it seemed that all the scarezones were incredibly lacking in set. a couple had a few nice pieces but some like "asylum in wonderland" were just boring. the actors were hardly trying and it was hardly even creepy. now a few of the houses were up to par... with teh exception in my opinion of a couple. but i wanted some others opinions, did i just have a bad experience this year....

Well, everyone has a different experience at HHN, but after going six times, I can safely say this is one of my favorite years.

I've gone four times thus far and once with an RIP Tour group. Though last year was my first and in my mind, it had a better icon, this year has better houses, better scarezones and a better Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure. Try going on a weeknight like Wednesday or Thursday, and you might find that the lower crowds make the event far more enjoyable, if not more personalized.

This was my first year at Halloween Horror Nights, but I was absolutely overjoyed at how the entire park was seemingly "transformed" (even un-rethemed areas like Amity had Bloody's music box playing and her voice ringing out with creepy lighting). There was so much to do... 8 houses, 6 scare zones, and 3 shows! I loved it so much the first time that I frantically set up a second trip to do it all again. I loved every second of this year and will be gladly attending at least twice next year.

Perhaps you just had an lucky number... as Jedi suggested, try going on any day this week... Wednesday/Thursday aren't peak nights, Halloween should be very low crowds, and even Saturday shouldn't be too bad...

To answer the thread title question... YES!

Don't get me wrong, I love some of the houses: Body Collectors, Dead Exposure and Scary Tales. But some are just lackluster... even the one about Bloody Mary was bad... Still, this year could have been a lot worse... A LOT....

Hello. We just returned from our week in Orlando and in my opinion, this years HHN was great! We had the stay and scream option on Wednesday the 22nd. The longest line we waited in was 20 minutes! We had every house done by 8 o'clock which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scarezones and the shows. I highly recomend going on a Wednesday or Thursday. The crowds are much lighter and the scareactors seem to spend more time "scaring" everyone. The only minor complaint I had was that a few of the houses were too dark. I found it hard to see alot of the gory details.

Not at all!

This year has the best streets since the move back to USF, and has some really nice houses. The only houses that really stumble are Reflections of Fear and Creatures, the rest of the houses are all on or above par. I really enjoyed this year, especially Dead Exposure and Scary Tales! Nice step forward!

I agree with you on Reflections, but Creatures to me was a lot better than Doomsday or Innerstellar Terror...

BTW, what did you think about Body Collectors?

this being by 6th year in a row i have to say I am still disappointed with the lack of scareactors. they kept saying "total immersification" so maybe i just had higher expectations

Not that I went to either of them but I thought the overall idea's were better last year.

But roll on next year because hopfully I will get to experience HHN nights :sohappy:
