Alrighty, my dad said he knew something that I didn't. He said that Jean Shepherd, who plays the father on CoP, talks for one of the pirates at PotC at MK. Can anyone confirm this or contradict it?

I have never heard that, but may be true. Disney used alot of the same voices for some of his early attractions.

I would doubt he plays a pirate, but you never know. Mr. Shepherd's voice was introduced to the Carousel of Progress in 1993. . . the original 'Pirates' voices were taped in the late '60s.
