Is Flame Tree Barbeque Open?

I just read on Intercot that Animal Kingdom's Flame Tree Barbeque is "open seasonally".

What is the definition of "seasonally"? I'm flying out on Friday, does anyone know if it will be open over the next couple of weeks?

I believe that "seasonally" means its only operating during the busiest seasons. I'm not sure if it will be open when you are there :veryconfu

Seasonally? Everytime I go to AK, it's always open, no matter what the season.

Yup I have never seen it closed either. It does ocasionally close early, but has always been open at least some of the day when I have been there. Flame Tree is one of AK's main eating areas.

Flame Tree Barbecue has been closed extensively in the past, over the years of cutbacks. I remember several trips when it was closed the entire time I was there, and they even tried converting it into an AP Lounge for a short time. However, I believe that period has ended.

I believ in the past it has been open "Seasonally"...but because of it's popularity, it has been open on a regular basis.

I highly recommend this place if you are a carnivore.

Their Bar-B-Que is the best!!

The AP lounge was in a very small area of the Flame Tree, one of the seating areas near the pond area in the centre. The restaurant was still open at the times I saw the AP lounge active however.

I can confirm it was closed on one of our trips. I believe it was in February of 02. We planned our day around eating there and we were very disappointed when we hiked over there from the Lion King show and found it closed!

Pizzafari was very good though!

The first time I went to AK was September 2001 and Flame Tree was closed. Last year it was open, and is now a favourite of mine.

So, it seems I can look forward to some nice grub by that little pond out the back

I can also confirm that it was closed for extended periods of time of the last several years. I think it has been open continously since last summer however. I am reasonably sure it will be open during the OP's trip.

It's been open continuously since Dec. of 02. We were there the day after they went full time. All the CMs were celebrating.
