Is Fantasmic Pkg worth it?

Hey Everyone!

Now that September hours are released I am able to get my planning on!!:lol::sohappy::ROFLOL:
We are going Sept 23-Oct 2. As of right now they are having Fantasmic on two nights: Sunday 9/25 & Thursday 9/29. I have MISSED Fantasmic on our last 3 trips!! This trip my mother will be joining us on her FIRST trip to the World so I want to make an effort to see the show.

DO you think it's worth it to do the Fantasmic Dining Package?

If I am not mistaken there won't be characters at Hollywood and Vine at night. It is just a regular buffet. Albeit a bad one.

Sorry...my mistake. You are right....but that makes it even worse..it's just a plan old bad buffet :lookaroun At least with other buffets that Characters do make it worth it.

we are going to be there during the same time sept 25-29! i've only seen fanstasmis at DL, me and the hubby missed it when we went for our honeymoon last march. I'm giong to try to get the fantasmic package at brown derby for dinner (never eaten here)on the 29th. I think it will be a nice end to a disney trip

I love going during this time of the year. We have gone one other time in 2009 during Sept/Oct & it was fantastic! I've been to Disney World a total of 6 times....and have only seen Fantasmic once. My husband saw it during it first trip when we were dating...but he doesn't remember the show all that well & my son hasn't seen it yet. So with my mom coming...we can all watch the show. I hope you enjoy have a fabulous time!!!!!!

Yeah....they are. I guess if one must do one at least having it as a Fantasmic Package makes it the lesser of two evils.

We've eaten at Mama Melrose a few times, and we are from New York and my husbands half italian. That being said, its not a bad restaurant. There are things we just wont order but thats because we are used to a different way of preparing BUT we certainly do enjoy going to Mama Melrose. We booked it for this August for Fantasmic also since there is no way I will wait in line two hours and we will ahve my cousins boys with us 1 and 2 years old. Dinner package well worth it!

I've read a few reviews and it seems that Mama Melrose is either a hit or a miss with people. I'm hoping it's not as bad as some make it out to be....but it all depends. I've looked at the Menu and everything sounds appetizing.

Not having to wait up too two hours in line makes this so much more worth it. Even during low attendance days at Disney there's always a line at Fantasmic. This is part of the reason we didn't see it our previous trips. I couldn't justify standing in line with a toddler for that long. My son will be 2 weeks shy of his 4th birthday during this trip...so 30-45 minutes won't be that much of an ordeal. That alone makes the package well worth it!!

I would! My boyfriend and I went in August 2010 and I had never seen Fantasmic before. We ate a sci-fi and went to the show two hours before it started. We walked up to a CM and he told us that the show was alreday full and there was a line all the way down the street for the 10pm show. I was so upset .. but.. we are going back in May 2011 and already book the FDP for mama melrose so we are very excited! Good Luck! :wave:
