Is EPCOT worth the price of admission?

With the single day price of the parks outpacing salaries, is the price of a single day pass at EPCOT worth it?

After all, how much is there really to do there at this point?

Well, there's GotG, Ratatouille, a revival of Soarin' Over California and the new Way of Water walk thru. Not to mention the very popular Frozen attraction.

But I agree that in and of itself, Epcot is not worth the price of a 1-day ticket.

I'm not saying that there isn't things to do at EPCOT, but when you think about it, it seems like alot of money for what you get. The world showcase is nice, being objective it is mostly stores and food stands that require addition money.

Hot Take, no theme park is worth more than $100 for a 1-day ticket. I also tell friends/family members to always visit with a multi-day pass or an annual pass to justify the price.

I love theme parks, that's my hobby/interest, but even I can't justify more than $80 for a 1-day ticket, no matter the park.

With Epcot's 11 vs AK's 9...It's still AK in my book being the half day park since it use to close around 5pm in it's early years..

EPCOT to me was always worth it. There is plenty to see and do and visiting all the countries plus picking out where are we eating Lunch and dinner. Plus, a show here and there. Visiting each pavilion does take time as well. Example was going into the land, yes there is a ride and soaring and for me we loved to do the behind the seeds tour, then when we could get reservation eating in the land. Same can be said for living Sea pavilion as well. This is a to each his own and things they like to do. I go on vacation, so we are there 7 to 10 days.

Honestly when you think about it. I would rather pay for a day at EPCOT than spend a day at a Six Flags theme park. Only Park worth it to me other than Disney Theme Parks is Dolly Wood.

It’s been sad to watch AK revert back to a half day park. November 4th we’ll have some late enough hours to see it at dark again, but the hours are so short anymore!

You didn't mention the price, and I cant be arsed to go research it, but I can spend an entire day there having fun. $250 for a full day's entertainment is a good deal.

I mean, look at the price of a decent Taylor Swift concert seat and then tell me all day at Epcot is worth less?

But I wouldn't walk across the street to see Taylor Swift even if it was free.

Guardians of the Galaxy is really fun.

But I kinda know what you mean.
One of our little guys is NUTS for Test Track - - - so its always a no brainer for us.

We often go to Epcot twice during a visit.

I saw a video on U-tube a week ago that a Disney follower has made a chart and it was price of admission vs entertainment time, he had the parks and MK all the way back to when WDW opened, it was quite impressive how it changed over the years, looked like now you get the least minutes of entertainment for the ticket price..

Obviously, "worth the money" is going to be highly subjective (e.g., a multimillionaire who loves theme parks vs a "middle class" person who feels so-so about them). But taking that into account, another important consideration is whether or not it's a person's first visit (or at least first visit in a long time).

For a first-time visitor, assuming they enjoy themed environments, EPCOT might be the most impressive and exciting WDW park. World Showcase is stunning (and really exploring it could take up much of the day, even without the attractions), plus you have the top-tier e-tickets Cosmic Rewind, Spaceship Earth (IMHO), and Soarin, plus you have the "secondary" attractions Mission: Space, Test Track, Frozen, Rat, American Adventure Show, Living with the Land, etc., which are all really cool experiences for first-timers (give or take some, depending on one's opinion).

If you've been to EPCOT many times and/or fairly recently, World Showcase and many of the attractions (e.g., Mission: Space, Spaceship Earth, American Adventure Show, Living with the Land) might not have very much repeat appeal, which would make EPCOT a weaker park than more "ride"-heavy options like MK and DHS...

Err for me, it's the other way around. If I had only day in WDW I would choose EPCOT. Far more for me there than the other three parks, so I would question whether even MK is worth the price of a day ticket.

On my last trip of 10 days, I spent 4.5 at EPCOT. And one day at Islands of Adventure.

I think you have to separate the two things that you're trying to say. Are any of the parks worth that amount of money in terms of absolute value? No. Disney is vastly overpriced across the board. So while you can make the point that EPCOT isn't worth the money, the same goes for the other parks. Secondly, does EPCOT have more or fewer "things to do" to keep one occupied and interested than the other three parks? That is highly subjective. BTW Magic Kingdom is mostly shops, restaurants, food/drink outlets, photopass photographers that cost more money.
