Is eisner comming to town?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the gutting of the animation studios that I posted a few days ago that I heard about last week from a CM. We'll just have to wait and see.

I do not think that it would be in good taste to do this. After all, it's Walt Disney World and that gesture would not be very nice to use.

oh, but I've seen and heard so much worse!! Guests seem to forget their manners and common sense when they enter through those gates. Some people seem to think they are the only one who paid a lot of money to come here, and that every thing should go their way. When it doesn't, watch out!!!! They can be pretty nasty. (I mean, I've ducked backstage and cried because I swear, some of these people have fangs!!)

So people, please remember to act civil. Regardless of your feelings for Mr. Eisner. There are much better ways of expressing your opinions.

Reality check. This is the most "powerful" person in Hollywood. This is the man who has final say on anything that goes on within the Walt Disney Co., including new rides, etc. If you want to see more great rides get built at WDW, you best want this man on our side! Giving him the finger salute is not the way to win his support for getting his approval for the construction for the next big ride or theme park!

Maybe 15 years ago he WAS the best thing for Disney. Him and Frank Wells (R.I.P.)

But that was 15 years ago...

Ever wonder what Disney would be like now if it was still Eisner, Wells and Katzenburg?

15 years ago? Frank Wells died in 1994, that was 10 years ago... okay, 10 years is still a long time....

I know I haven't been a fan of Eisner's for a long time now...way before Savedisney.com. He doesn't treat the cast members with respect and that bothers me. Being a cast member that is just wrong.

Sorry about my soap box...

You know, if Roy did not make Savedisney.com none of you would be trash talking Eisner right now. You all are just like Yes men...

This is an excellent point. Until Roy came out and blasted Mikey for everything we all felt, I tried to remain positive and look at the glas as half full to be supportive of Disney. There was already enough websites and people slinging mud.

But for me, having Roy come out and saw what he did, kinda gave me "push" to think it was "OK" to rip Disney. It's still hard, you are ripping the head of the company but also trying to enjoy things in the parks that Eisner instituted as well.

If that makes me a YES man or somewhat of a hippocrite, then so be it. But it does distress me that I don't think "badly" of Al Lutz anymore

I'd love to know the source of this info. This has not been reported on any other boards from what I've seen. I personally don't think its anything.

I'd be nice to him... after all, when he retires, I'll be wanting him to put in a good word for me...

Then again, when they carry his head out on a stick, I'd probably regret doing that :)

imho

I personally respect Roy less than I do Eisner actually.

Just who brought Eisner on in the firstplace? Hmmmm?

I'm sorry, Roy comes across as a bit of a nilly. I know that's harsh...but I wouldn't go about trying to save your Dad and Uncle's Company when you put it in this position in the first place. Why should we trust you? You don't have a great track record.

And I hate to drudge up the past, but didn't Walt call him the "idiot nephew"?

And if it was in passing, and out of line, and not fitting, why has the name stuck? (besides because of people like me :)

I don't think Roy E. has any more answers than Eisner. That might sadden a few...but I think its true.

Eisner coming to town.......

I've been going to Disney for years now, and can imagine that his is a daunting job, at the helm of a giant like Disney, and it''s not hard to see how one can lose focus........so many ventures to watch over. Roy however has the Parks, the Magic in his heart, and their well being foremost in his sights. Somewhere along the ride Micheal lost the focus, it's the Parks that are the core of the Magic which allows the outflow to all their other ventures. Roy may not be the businessman that Eisner is, but his vision is clear, he is the "keeper" for the Magic. If he feels that it's time for Micheal to go, than so be it.........
