Is Disney Spings worth a visit?

It's an outdoor pedestrian mall with shops and restaurants.

Lately we use it mainly for the movie theater, the running store, Ghiradelli, and Earl of Sandwhich.
But only because those locations are closest to where we stay.

There is a Basin White at Grand Floridian... like a higher end Basin with some stuff from the Disney Springs store but also some exclusive stuff. Worth checking out if you are a fan.

A higher end Basin? jeeeez...I thought I was already buying ridiculously priced soap from them. It gets worse lol?

So in Basin's defense, I just went to their website and things online seem much more moderately priced than how they are at Disney Springs. It seems that Basin and/or Disney is just putting an extra premium on prices for it being on-property. Still a lot of money for soap, but around half the price online.

I think you're right, it's an extra premium placed on things sold at the Springs. I noticed things found in a "local" Disney Store were about $2-$3 more at various locations in DS.

There's a lot of interesting restaurants I'd like to try, but since it tends to be a pain to get there (maybe that's changed since the new bus loop?) I have a hard time justifying it over eating at Epcot instead. I looked through the massive list of new stores added recently and the only one that even remotely interested me was the Coca Cola store, but it's basically just a buffed up Club Cool so that's not a huge pull. Emporium and Mouse Gears have everything Once Upon A Toy and World Of Disney have, Art Of Disney is the same as the locations in MK and Epcot, and while I like Pin Traders you can hit up Fantasia at Contemporary for rare pins too. If I was a local I'd hit it up, but while on vacation it's hard to justify.

If you've never been and/or you love shopping, then yes. We usually go there in the evening of our travel day, and I was just there last Friday. I wish we could have done Splitsville, but I was outvoted. We tried Ragland Road for our first time and although I loved the River Dancing, thought the food was just ok. Oh well!

just visit your local mall, shopping center. may not be "themed" as well, but hey, its the same stores with cheaper pricing. you also need not pack your purchases to go home.
What do you mean? Are the prices higher at Disney Springs locations than everywhere else? I thought a store couldn't do that. Not good news if true!

Definitely higher at the parks than at local stores, even compared to the Disney Store at our local mall. Before our trip we browsed the local Disney store. They had T-shirts for $18 each. I'm pretty sure the shirts are much higher at Disney. I've heard grocery stores do that as well, depending on the neighborhood it's in. I'd say Disney has the highest prices anywhere!

What about Anthropologie? Do they list items higher than other locations? That's the only new store that I want to visit- only because it has 2 floors so hopefully a lot more merchandise.. But not if their prices are marked up!

I would assume they do, but in all honesty, I don't know because I've never been in that store.
