HD-DVD will hang on for a few more years mainly due to the European market
I doubt that. Why would Universal want to keep hanging on to a losing battle, while losing revenue along the way? If they switched, then it really would be OVER. It seems to me that everyone is better off by putting an end to one of the formats ASAP now. Toshiba should just cut their losses and try to move on. They can't win now unless something extremely crazy happens. The more this thing drags out, the worse it becomes for the consumers and the studios.
