Is Cirque du Soleil worth the time and price?

Every trip I have considered seeing this show. I haven't looked at prices lately for it but last check would run my fam about 300 bucks. For those who have seen it, what do you think?

My DH and I enjoyed it, but we waited until our kids had moved out and we were on our own. I saw many families there and the children were thoroughly entertained. We were seated in the first section, center, but on the back row right at the walking path between sections. We became part of the pre-show with two of the entertainers.

My husband wanted to go every trip and this past March we surprised our girls. I'll be honest I was always the one saying "We're in Disney, there is so much to do...why go to Cirque du Soleil?" Of course the cost was a factor.
That being said, we all enjoyed it thoroughly, and have no regrets that we did it or spent the money.....BUT, we did get a Disney Visa discount which was a big savings (25% I think) and we sat center towards the back. I was worried about our seats when we originally booked but, to be honest, I would recommend them to anyone. There is so much going on all over, sitting close you could easily miss things. On the opposite side, sitting close up you would see more detail, so I think it would depend on your family.
Happy Planning :)

Yep definitely worth it. It is a high quality production with extremely talented performers. It's impressive to see and great for something different outside of the parks. I would recommend seating in the middle to rear of the theater.

Well worth the cost. I've seen it from three different positions, including the very front row (section 103 both times). The front row is very neat because the clowns and other performers will interact with you. However, I think the best view of the show is farther back (and cheaper) in the front row of section 204 right above the theatre entrance.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. If you like theatre even .5% and circus acts .5% you will walk away with your jaw hanging open. It's a fabulous production...not only are the artists insanely talented but the staging is so spectacular and above and beyond what is necessary that there really is nothing else to compare it to I guess except perhaps other cirque shows. At any one point there are at least three different things going on and the level of detail is just stupefying. So much happening just because they can. It really is spectacle at its best. I can't recommend it highly enough. You could see it three times in a row and still not fully absorb it all. Mindblowingly good.

Yes! We sat in the first row of 206 (catagory 2) to save a little money. They were very good seats and the performers paraded right in front before the show.

For some reason, my father really wanted to see it. He really had no clue what it was and I feared he was picturing an old school circus. My sister and I bought him tickets for his birthday. He and my mom went this past summer and he said it was the best part of their trip! He really loved it. I have to admit I was very, very surprised, but he raved to friends and family.

If you saw previously a resident show of Cirque Du Soleil, like KÀ, O, Love, Zarkana... or a good touring show... i would say definitely NO. But if it's your first CDS show and your kid's, definitely YES.

I don't have kids, but on an adult only trip, we greatly enjoyed the show. I have seen a few Cirque shows and La Nouba is a great one.
