Anybody know - Is that annoying woman counting down the top 7 things to see at Disney World off of Disney Resort TV yet?

I miss the way it used to be. They would just break down each park, and all recreation things seperately.

Isn't it funny how serious we all take some things at Disney World? It's like a religious place for us or something.

You know, i gotta wonder. If youre spending a zillion dollars to go to WDW, why are you actually taking time to watch Resort TV rather then off in the parks? I've NEVER understood this.

(Television.... the drug of the nation.... breeding ignorance and feeding radiation, on Television... the drug of the nation... )

Well, unless you're a world class athlete, it's nice at times to head back to the park for a little rest and relaxation.

We sometimes watch the TV at night when we get back to the hotel too.

You gotta imagine people watch it. I mean, every room has a TV, and Disney doesn't make those things for nothing.

The woman I'm not wild about...but that countdown is a joke.

I understand it's supposed to be "representative" of a lot of different areas and activities, but....Playhouse Disney in the Top 7 things to do on property? Uh huh...right up there with El Rio del Tiempo.

You're not threatening to bring logic and reason to these threads, are you?

Hey - I like El Rio De Tiempo!!! I think because it's one of the first rides we do on every trip, since Epcot is the first park we hit.

Yeah - The countdown is a bit of a joke though. That I agree with.

Wave of the future, man....

coming in 2020: Magic Kingdom in a Box! All of the fun and excitement of your favorite theme park with none of the physical exertion. (Should Magic Kingdom in a Box freeze mid-magic, please try rebooting.)

Not ed in the least my friend.

I think if we're gonna talk about crappy Epcot attractions, we should move to Future World and......:snore: .........the Universe....:snore: ....of Energy......:snore: .

Sorry - Can't even say it without falling asleep.

Hey, Wilt! Do you have kids yet? If you do, then they would probably agree that Playhouse Disney should be in the top 7. My daughter absolutely loves the Playhouse Disney characters- she is 16 months old and can say rolie polie olie and gets excited when she see Stanley and Bear in the Big Blue House! As an adult, Playhouse Disney wouldn't rate... but for kids under 7, it's probably one of their favorites.

Yes, El Rio del Tiempo is boring... but you know, you can take a quick nap in there because it's dark and the temp is a little cooler than outside! So, in the middle of the day (after I've had lunch at San Angel and when I can't get back to the room) that might get my vote for the top 7

Oh come on people - Show a little love for El Rio De Tiempo.

Hey - Look at it this way. You've had a busy day over in Future World. You've just ridden Test Track. You go have a big, filling lunch. Before you head out to really tackle World Showcase, you stop by Mexico, for a nice quiet, cool boat ride to let your stomach settle and regain your strength for the rest of the day.

Sounds good, doesn't it????

We enjoyed watching the old resort Tip for Today each morning as we got dressed and before heading to the partk. Sure we know the tips almost by heart, but it just helped get the day started for us as headed out to catch EE. We'll see the new one in October, but from what I have read, sounds really bad.

I may be in the minority here, but I kinda liked Chyrssa (or whatever her name was).

When my family stayed at Pop Century in mid-December last year, I was holed up for an afternoon with a head cold. I was in misery. I watched the Disney Countdown over and over and over and over and over again…
Yes, the countdown itself is irritating -- no argument there. The only reason to watch and re-watch it is due to the fact that local TV stinks. And Pop Century doesn’t have the GOOD cable (by that I mean anything other than Disney and Toon Disney).

The funny thing I noticed about the Disney Countdown show was that Chryssa had just enough exuberance to keep the kids happy, just enough information to keep the women in the know and just enough jiggle to keep the men entertained.

Ah -- the circle of life.

:dazzle: [Doesn't know the words]

"Hola mis amigos que pasa deseyar, el rio del tiempo en segundo para su, sue que la te vamos a solas deseyar, el nunco tu nievo el pasa deseyar comco que en puedo su nablar, no quince desarollar que vamos cumpletar!"

LMAO ok crazy moment. Yes I actually can speak some Spanish, and when I first saw El Rio Del Tiempo, I thought it ment River By The Temple, and right under the sign it said River of Time. :hammer: [Those crazy mexicans ]:animwink:

You know I didn't mind her the first time or two, but I really wanted something more than what she was showing. I missed the zippie-do-da music that helped me get ready in the mornings before heading off to the parks.

I wouldn't mind keeping her and adding a little of the old back. That would make it a little more tolerable.

I don't have any yet...I'm sure my folks would appreciate if I finished college and found a wife first. :animwink:

As for Playhouse Disney....I shall make a confession at this point. I like it. There, I said it. It's cute and whimsical without being insulting, in my opinion. But it ain't in my Top 7. :D

And as for el Rio del Tiempo...I will say this for it. That room with the fireworks on the sky is pretty neat....and shouting things at the people in the restaurant as you sail by them can be fun. (Or so I've been told.) :lookaroun
