Going with another couple and somebody in our party is not very happy about attending candlelight... Wondering if I should change plans to go by myself another day... it's my first time going in December and I will not be attending the christmas party I don't want to miss out on to much.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
YES!!! We would never miss it if there at that time. It tells the true beautiful story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator and a choir and music/instruments. It's abasolutley our favorite at Epcot at Christmastime. Do not miss it because the couple you are with does not want to see this amazing show. :)

Making a reservation now would not help you at all because the number of tables set aside for CP are not the in the pool of general tables for regular reservations. So it does not help you get the restaurant you want at all by making a reservation there now. It's best to call once they are released but yes try online as well before and while your on hold of calling. ;)

Awesome thank you ! and one more question hoping you know the answer to... I'm looking at spice road table for the candlelight package.... It says it includes an appetizer per person, would that be considered a "small plate" ? theres no appetizer section on SRT menu.

It didn't when we went for Christmas / New Year 2008. It may do now but I'm afraid I don't know

Last year I know for the Food & Wine Eat to the beat package it included that but for CP I think they started doing that last year too but don't quote me. It was not included prior to 2015 but if I remember right they added the reserved section for Illuninations to the package last year. But not sure even if they did it would be also included this year. :)

Yes you would probably choose between the small plates I'm assuming being there is no dedicated appitizers there. ;)

Without knowing the reason they're not happy about seeing Candlelight, I would ask if it's feasible for that person to spend some time on their own while the rest of your group sees the show?

He says its "to religious"...It's ok they can do whatever they want. I just changed around some of my own plans so hubby and I will do candlelight without the others. I had to drop Kona cafe dinner but a lot of people here on the forums have been steering me away from eating there anyway.

I like Kona Cafe, but you can do it anytime on any other trip.

Only certain restaurantshare included in the CP package, correct? We want a Rose and Crown dinner for our early December trip, but don't need the package. But it is not yet available to make ADRS at, CP package or no.

Well, I'm glad there is a program that focuses on The Gospel story on the birth of Jesus. You could compromise and say your group will do Holidays Around the World in WS. Some are religious. Some are not. At America it has three of them: Santa, Jewish, and Kwanzaa. (Remember, Christian is Candlelight Processonal). If you strive to do all of them, you're not focusing on just CP.

This also happens sometimes those should release soon as well if it's not just booked up already. Just keep trying and I'm sure eventually you will snag something there. ;)

You can see the information on the packages from last year here -> http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...w-available-and-first-narrators-confirmed.htm The number of restaurants have been going up each year. They may simply have not yet decided how many tables to release for general ADRs, or I have seen reports of other restaurants also not showing any availability, even though they are within the 180 days.
