Is Be Our Guest REALLY worth it?

Is it worth it? For dinner, yes. Beats all other TS in MK for dinner (and yes, being able to have that glass of wine or beer or champagne is an added bonus ;))

Lunch, not so much. Can't comment about breakfast since I've not made an ADR for breakfast since BOG started offering it.

People always advise to avoid parks on the day they have evening EMH, due to the crowds. I've never noticed a real increase in crowd levels after non-EHM closing time, but then I rarely last past midnight. And even with an evening EMH at MK, you're not going to be able to get a reservation much past 10PM.

My advice... do what fits your schedule best. If you want to go on Wednesday, then do it. If you can't get an ADR for that date, then keep Monday's. We've eaten at BOG many times late in the evening, exiting after the completion of Wishes. Even if it's an EMH day, the park was noticeably less crowded.

I assume the OP meant "is it worth it to mess with my schedule to be able to eat here?" To that I'd say no, make your daily schedule and eat where you can around it.

As to whether BOG is worth it, sure it is, at least for lunch. Decently priced, cool theming, and fun. Would like to try dinner eventually too!

Thanks for all the replies! I think I'm going to try to get a reservation for the Wednesday, but if I don't, I'm going to make the Monday reservation work!

Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney movie, so for me it would be worth is the give up the extended hours- actually I've made that sacrifice before with no regrets. We've only been there for dinner and it was the only restaurant where we all ate every last bite of our meal (we all had the ratatouille).

Since tomorrow is the day when I pre-order breakfast, is the Feast of Gaston SUPER huge? I'm trying to decide if I should get that or the croissant donut.

Our favorite is the French Onion Soup at dinner or lunch! The rest of the lunch menu is ok, but nothing spectacular. We would have done it for dinner again this upcoming trip, but decided to do Skippers Canteen instead. We are doing BOG for lunch, but just getting the soup.

I haven't been since 2013. I went every year in December for about 7 years before that, but I've heard the crowds have gotten worse recently. I'm not a rope drop person on vacation so I prefer to stay in the parks as late as possible.

I agree with the alcohol for sure!!! That's probably why I'm not a rope drop person.
We preach EMH to everybody we talk to!! Yes it has gotten busier but starting with the last parade the lines start to run fast and the waits get shorter and shorter. We have been down twice in the last 12 months (April and October) and done EMH at least once per trip and they were more than worth it. 10 minutes or less for 7DMTR and walk on for just about everything else. I do have to say I love the people that say to skip EMH, that's just less people in front of me in line. :)

Honestly every sit down restaurant in WDW is worth it a first time. Everyone is different as far as what is and isn't good food and the only way to know is if you try it. Besides, every restaurant has theming and atmosphere that makes it a delight just to see it. Obviously if you are allergic to tomatoes and flour I'd skip the italian restaurants but otherwise try every restaurant you want. I never expected anything from Raglan Road and found it to be my favorite restaurant ever.

And one of my favorite things to do is the "nighttime route" when everyone else is watching the parades and fireworks - going on jungle cruise, pirates, country bears, haunted mansion, etc. in the dark. But we do that on regular nights with no EMH now and it's generally walk-on for most rides. It's longer waits on EMH nights, even late.
Bro, this is straight up my family's master level tactic at Disneyland, especially during Fantasia, except trade out those rides for Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Indiana Jones Adventure walk ons five times in a row.

We have reservations for breakfast as my daughter really wants to go again but I'm not keen. Being vegi the options are not great, so I planned to order a kids option. Would that still go down on the dining plan as an adults meal? We planned to pre-order as its quicker when you get there. But not sure now what to do?
