Is anyone else getting some very Un-Disney Banner Ads?

My question is above. I'm suddenly getting banner ads on the forum pages that I KNOW Steve would never allow. Is this a virus or something?

Help.

Apparently, it must be some kind of virus. The ads don't show up on my DD's computer, and they are showing up on other websites like MSNBC that I went to. I've never encountered this before.

If this is a virus, there will be a certain 13 yo kid in the house with broken fingers.

Nicole220 was having that problem yesterday I believe...I think she said it was a virus and she got rid of it ...

Sounds more like ad-ware (not virus) to me....

Try installing Ad-Aware or Spybot to remove it. If you don't have either, you will probably be surprised at how much they will find on your computer from just everyday web browsing.

I'm not getting any weird Ads. That would make me really mad! :fork:

But I have Norton on my computer - guess it really is good for something!

I just did a full system scan with Norton and it found nothing. This is surprising, since Norton usually wants to see a passport and a clean breathalizer test before it lets you on line.

I hate to install another spyware remover.. it gets to the point of overkill after a while. I guess I have no choice...

I switched from Norton because I kept having problems. It would tell me the computer was clean, yet I knew it wasn't. I switched to McAfee and it found a ton of trojans and a virus or two as well as a bunch of spyware.

I use Ad Aware at least once a week (its a free download) and runs with your other programs to keep the place clean. You say you don't want to install another one, but the one you have is not doing you any good.
