Hello All, We have been probably 20 times but never stayed on property. We have gone with our son when he was growing up and our granddaughters as they grew up.I have booked a vacation for just my husband and I and was wondering if 5 nights was enough or should I book 6 nights.I do adore MK,really like Epcot,AK is good. The last time we were there I wasn't impressed with Hollywood (been 8 years).Any input would be appreciated. Our schedule is flexible. This is one of my "bucket list" things.LOL Thank you.Leigh

If you can do 6 I would, since you been a lot you now can skip and fill in what you need to see and do, we use to do 10 days but the costs have now got to high, it seems like there is never enough time and they keep adding new stuff all the time...

Where are you going to stay onsite? Your question is difficult to answer. Five can be enough for some people. I'd never want to go for that few days. How much do you want to accomplish? What havent you done? What excites you both at Disney that will take up your time? What and how much dining do you want to do? As adults going without kids you can do lots more in the time you have. IF you can afford a sixth day I'd say you should have no problem filling it up with things to do. We usually go for 14 and still dont have enough time!!! Enjoy your trip back... lots of new things have been added in 8 years.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Me and hubby go for 2 weeks just us staying at a WDW resort and only do the 4 main parks, Disney Springs, Etc etc and still don’t do everything we want to in that time so leave still wanting more time. Lol And we pretty much go every year. Lol So I say the more days the better. ;)

I think 5 nights is perfect, it gives you 1 full day for each park and 2 days to revisit favorites or a waterpark . I also think that when you stay at a resort like the contemporary you are getting a quality over quantity bonus. I far prefer a short trip staying at a deluxe to a long trip at a cheaper or off property hotel.

Also, I love WDW but have no earthly understanding how anyone could spend more than a week there without going insane from dealing with the crowds and lines. Not to mention going broke. My family typically takes long vacations, around 3 weeks every summer, which is something I have worked hard to be able to do and I love, but that does not translate to WDW where I think 6 days is perfect and 7 starts to be too much.

In the Parks
Yes
I just booked a last minute trip last week that is 5 nights and 6 days. I think its plenty of time to do everything you want. We plan on going to the parks for 5 days, going to Disney Springs and the Boardwalk. I went for 4 nights last year and we still got everything we needed to get done. Plan accordingly and you'll be fine!

I never stay less than 8 nights. Anything less is not worth the hassle and cost of the flight IMO.

8 nights = 7 full park days = 14 "half days"

4 half days at MK
3 half days at Epcot
3 half days at Animal Kingdom
2 half days at Hollywood Studios
2 half days off

That is so true about the flight. Where we live the flights can get pretty pricey so it is worth it for us to stay the extra days if you consider it a time to value ratio.
