ipod/iphone question in disneyworld.

So I may be getting an iphone or an ipod touch and I have a question for all you apple users who visit the magical kingdom........does the kingdom have wireless service so that I could access apps while down there? I know there is a disney world wait time application that my friend has and thought it would be a useful tool. Also, if I need to check in with work, etc. would I be able to access the wireless network for email checking, etc.

Nope. No open wifi networks. All wifi is secure and not for public access.

If you get an iPhone you will need to use the 3G service provided by your cell phone company. As MissM said above, no open wifi. There is occasionaly a patch of WiFi around Innoventions, but nothing solidly available.

Your iphone's reception will be just fine in WDW. I've had one the last few trips to WDW and my 3G service was good.

Yeah I never had a problem with my 3g service there, except for some attractions but who is using their phone anyway when riding.

Yep the 3G on AT&T is solid at WDW. The only issues I have seen are on peek days (NYE etc), the capacity kill data, and you pretty much have no web access.
