Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone knew of any apps that are out there for Walt Disney World which will give you ride wait times, etc. I have found the map app that give you info about everything in the park but nothing that has live info about the park. Am I making sense??

Thanks!
Mark

Disney dont release any live wait time data, so the only way you will get that is if Disney ever release a mobile site.

I bought all four of the Disney map applications. I think it's pretty cool with the gps support, and very easy to use.

I also bought one called WDW Secrets, it is in an e-book format, and gives you all sorts of hints and secrets about each park and individual things inside the park. It's sort of like what's on the forum, but in one place and handy. It's $1.99, and it is great when you are very excited before leaving or on the plane ride to. :)

I have all four WDW parks and DTD, both Anaheim parks as well. :D DCA hasn't been upgraded for GPS yet, but I expect it will when they update for the current changes.

I have WDW Secrets too and am waiting for Hidden Mickeys and park guides from them as well.

If my iphone wasn't such a piece of garbage I'd really like the map apps.
Yours in particular or iPhones in general? I really like mine in Canada, but when I'm in FLA I'm so limited in what I can do [data roaming fees are crazy expensive] that I'm not so thrilled.

Mine in particular. I've had a string of bad ones and this last one keeps telling me its plugged into a not compatible device, airplane mode blah blah blah. The WiFi also stopped working so I'm a bit ticked at the moment. I try to like the thing, and when it works its great, I just can't get one to work right for any length of time.

Wow! I've been lucky, only one glitch so far [the screen went black, but it was still working... tried reboot but I guess I didn't hold the buttons down long enough - got to an Apple store and the clerk there fixed it right away] and I love mine.

Maybe you have a magnetic personality and it messes with the phone?

Seriously, all I can say is keep trading it in until you get one that works [assuming it's still under warranty?]

Universal offers live wait time information through their mobile site and I think it's a great idea. I've been meaning to put an application together that would do something with the times, come up with traffic patterns and that sort of thing, but real work keeps pushing that back :(

I'd love to see Disney do something like this though.

BTW, don't waste your money on the WDW map applications. They are terrible.

These apps helped me a lot on my last trip (and I got them when they were $9.99 each). It pin pointed where we were and we could see the nearest bathroom. I don't have the maps memorized.

I used the Disneyland/DCA ones when I went there for my first time by myself. I went to 3 different stores looking for a map back by Paradise Pier, the lady said that custodial carried the maps. I couldn't find a custodial person for the life of me! I remember that I had the maps on my iPhone and it helped me so much! I flew through both parks and did everything I wanted to do in one day!
