We've used the dial up at the WL before. It cost .75 per connection. We had an Orlando number for our local phone company (Frontier Communications) so we were able use our regular net service at no extra charge. We had to dial "9"
first for an outside line. The CMs at the front desk were very helpful in explaining the system.

That's a shame. I was very impressed by the system the Wyndham had on I-Drive. (Internet, Video-on-Demand etc etc.)

Maybe something Disney should look into.

I always hear people say that but I don't think it will happen any time soon. DisneyWorld put high speed access into all its conference center hotels for the business travelers that are there. They put it into all the DVC resorts because I can see where people would be "at home" in the room with some downtime for the kids or other family members while making dinner or something.

But everytime I've been at a disney resort, I've been asleep or out doing something. I suspect that a majority of other resort guest are the same way. So I just don't see how disneyworld would get a good return on their investment by putting high speed net access or internet tv in every room

I've seen people use their laptops in their rooms and in the lobby of the Grand Floridian when our family stayed there over the summer. Some people must find this convenient to use.

Yes the internet IS free at DQ. It seems to be a bit of a hassle, though. Even with the primitive room access, it just seems to be much more convenient (and you can use it every day!)
