Internet access in my room?

So a laptop was passed down to me recently and I plan on taking it with us on our honeymoon to unload pictures onto it and keep in touch with family. Will my room have internet access? Can I connect with a cable or does it have to be wireless? If it matters we will be staying at Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian. If anymore information is needed let me know, thanks for the help!

Yes. An ethernet cable should be provided to you inside your room. If not, you can ask the front desk for the cable as each room has an outet. The cost is $10 for 24 hours.

the $10 a day scared me off but I took my laptop just in case. I never found a need for net access, but you can get it. If it seems a bit pricey to you but need your net fix, maybe just pay for one day's worth of service in the middle of yor trip. That's what I had considered but never really found it to be necessary.

It was nice to have it there for uploading the pictures to look at and erase the card, like you mentioned. Everyone enjoyed coming back to the room and looking at my pictures each night. Have a great honeymoon! :wave:

Thanks for the replies. Wow $10 a day is alot...honestly didn't expect it to cost any money at all let alone that much.

That's quite a price to pay, I'd hope it's at least blazing hot speeds!

Its much better than the old system where you paid for the call, the connection fee and the so much per minute. It was a hassle to try and make it work. Plus, unless you had a local number for your internet carrier you paid long distance fees. :brick:

I always look at it like this. When I'm traveling if I see a motel for $40 with no internet and another motel for $50 with internet, I'll pick the $50 one. So at Disney I just kind of factor in the additional $10 per night in the cost of the room.

If you pay attention and log in later one day and earlier the next [ finishing within the first 24-hour period], you can drop the price to $5 a day. Then you're paying $9.95 every second day of your stay but logging onto the internet daily.
